I visited Japan in 2016 for 2.5 weeks and I have never in my life seen more clean and inviting public toilets anywhere that I’ve visited in the US or Europe. Heck! My high school’s bathrooms were places of horror and devastation!!! You definitely held it until you got home, if you could. Not sure if anything changed in Japan between 2016 and 2020, when this video came out. The only place where the public toilet was more of what I expect (not that great) was in the countryside. But clearly, they don’t have the same kind of money as the cities. But it was still definitely clean. I took a lot of pictures of the beautiful public toilets I visited to show friends and family when I got home. Trust me, they were shocked and astounded! 😀😀
