The Big L film, as they advertised for sale in mid-1967.

Wonderful memories, the soundtrack to our teenage lives !.I was so upset when it closed in August ' 67 it was akin to a bereavement , it was certainly the most professional of all the Pirates with Paul Kay,Kenny & Cash ( on London ! ), Keith Skues, just some of the great DJ's that became household names.

Thanks for posting this....used to have this on 8mm film, which I think this is. Great memories from a fantastic era, the pirates, of which I think Big L was best, helped promote and change the music scene forever...great times.

August 14th 1967 was a very sad day. The beste radiostation ever closed.

Criminal it was put off the air! Why was Radio Lux allowed to broadcast into UK and BBC jocks allowed to freelance in the the Grand Duchy yet the off shore stations could not? That's your 'darling Harold Wilson for you!'
