Absolute nonsense. Camilla's true love was Andrew Parker Bowles. She was just using Charles to try and make APB jealous- he was quite the ladies money.
Charles on the other hand was bessotted with Camilla because she resembles his favourite nanny Mabel Anderson. Oedipus complex.
The palace objected to a union (not that Camilla cared) because they're related, through Edward VII. She is his great granddaughter through his mistress Alice Keppell Charles is his great great grandson through the wife Queen Alexandra. A union was not feasible because INBREEDING was destroying the European royals; Hapsbugs and Romanovs etc. The Windsors were already dealing with haemophilia porphyria and Downs Syndrome (the queen mother's 3 cousins were hidden away from the public because they had Downs). The Queen's uncle's suffered from arrested development and rhocatism. It was imperative to diversify the gene pools. Again Camilla wasn't bothered.
