I agree that the genre he went into is wrong but that was down to Simon Fuller's bad management. That said, plenty of artists put out total manure and have huge hits with it because they get airplay. Adam has suffered from lack of airplay because of the AMA performance that the media will still not forget and forgive him for. Again, a result of Simon Fuller's poor management. He washed his hands of it that very evening and told Adam to deal with the fallout of it himself.
I wouldn't say underrated. Less successful than he should be, yes, but not underrated. He's generally rated in the industry as one of the best voices, if not THE best voice, ever.

Like Velvet, Superpower, Roses & Closer to You from his latest album. And again, watching people like Sam Smith & Bieber, perform is like watching wooden puppets on stage whereas Adam always puts on a fabulous live show - from is costumes, to his gorgeous looks to his insanely good live vocals. Others use a backing track and auto tune - he never does and he changes up the delivery with every performance. The judges on American Idol recognized his talent, it was the American public and all the background crap going on that gave the clean cut Chris the title instead of the best voice/performer. Freddy Mercury had a GREAT voice and until AL came along Queen didn't have anyone who could handle those songs. He truly is one of the great voices and it's a shame that he isn't more recognized. This post started three years ago. Forward to April 2019, and I think it's safe to say Adam is hitting his stride. He's now the frontman for Queen (not too shabby), and he is popping up all over the place. He's calmed down his look a bit while still being true to himself. He performed a song by Cher (for Cher) at the Kennedy Center Honors for 2018. His vocal range is amazing. I've seen him as a judge on some talent shows. And, to be honest, I think he was the best judge - he was honest and fair but nice. And, what is it about the runner ups of American Idol doing better than the winner? (Think Ruben Studdard/Clay Aiken) and who won Adam's year (see what I mean?). Let's not forget ...this guy's face is absolutely gorgeous. I think he's going to be alright.

Adam is world wide famous and his voice is recognized as one of, if not ,the best of this generation..So all in all he's doing great.. Having hit after hit songs or getting an award or two or three would be wonderful,icing on the cake. Nevertheless, Adam is a force and IMHO longevity is his greatest reward.

ADAM LAMBERT is the Best male singer today. Adam really has an unusual vocal skill and technique. One of Adam's strengths is that he can mix across his range perfectly. His voice is fuller and richer in the High notes. Most male singers, such as Dimash or Brendon Urie, use head voice and falsetto more on the higher notes, and this makes their voice thinner and less dense. Besides, nobody can do Riffs and overdrive like Adam.

The judges on American Idol recognized his talent, it was the American public and all the background crap going on that gave the clean cut Chris the title instead of the best voice/performer. Freddy Mercury had a GREAT voice and until AL came along Queen didn't have anyone who could handle those songs. He truly is one of the great voices and it's a shame that he isn't more recognized. Again, American public not so smart.
At&t gave free phones to Kris' fans and showed them how to vote 10,000 times at once. How could Lambert fans compete? American Idol said that wasn't a factor but how could it not be? It was rigged.
It was actually most likely that Queen wanted to sign him after performing with him and if he had won American Idol he would have been stuck in the contract

This post started three years ago. Forward to April 2019, and I think it's safe to say Adam is hitting his stride. He's now the frontman for Queen (not too shabby), and he is popping up all over the place. He's calmed down his look a bit while still being true to himself. He performed a song by Cher (for Cher) at the Kennedy Center Honors for 2018. His vocal range is amazing. I've seen him as a judge on some talent shows. And, to be honest, I think he was the best judge - he was honest and fair but nice.
And, what is it about the runner ups of American Idol doing better than the winner? (Think Ruben Studdard/Clay Aiken) and who won Adam's year (see what I mean?). Let's not forget ...this guy's face is absolutely gorgeous. I think he's going to be alright.

Actually, 1:42 that Sleepwalker performance on Vevo, for me, the better part comes after Monte's guitar riff. Adam sang "wo o o oh..." and that note always gives me goosebumps! ALWAYS!
