Good evening to you and thank you very much for this special reaction from ABBA A lot of things in these live video: The control of the supporting musicians when the girls are around them The brilliant harmonies of the four (not just the two girls anymore) The energy and enjoyment that enhances their songs I add a context data that elevates what you say The recital is the closing of the North America/Europe Tour September/November 1979 At the beginning of that year the blonde singer Agnetha and the guitarist and singer Björn had already separated; However, their professionalism allowed them to share the love for their music and that energy put on stage Something about the two songs: "Does your mother know" with Björn added to Agnetha and Frida at the leads vocales, was the second single from their six album "Voulez Vous" (1979) pick #3 in UK "Hole in your soul" wasn't a single, it's a hidden gem in their five album "ABBA The Album" (1977) ABBA gave the best of itself in that mythical setting It had been almost two hours and 20 songs And they arrive at this epic moment with the four in front of their audience (after a memorable melodic and heavenly bridge of the singers Agnetha and Frida and their highest and highest notes) Then there will be the special numbers. They will return to close with the emotional "The way all friends do" follow by their greatest worldwide hit "Dancing Queen" And the final bonus will be the iconic "Waterloo", the song that gave them the triumph there in England in the remembered 1974 Eurovision Contest that put ABBA in the consideration of the music world Here is the link to this final trio of songs ("Waterloo" with image of the first minute, but the complete audio) th-cam.com/video/MeRESZjq8J0/w-d-xo.html Thank you again so much for giving us this gift for all ABBA fans My best wishes for you from Buenos Aires Argentina
@@FortWorthFabian I was to young to go on concerts when they were active, but this group would be the concert to go too...if you ever went to a concert...
Abba was my first favourite group and the main reason why I loved to learn english in my childhood. Thank you so much for this reaction! Maybe you want to do "I'm a marionette" as your next Abba-reaction? Greetings from Germany!
I don’t believe we’re bias; ABBA genuinely has consistently amazing songs. If they didn’t, they never would have shot to world wide fame and stayed there for 40 years. Also, Björn and Benny wouldnt release à bad song.
@@FortWorthFabian Allright.Maybe.A little bit.😁I have asked you a couple of times to do a reaction to Tina Turner.I was lucky enough to be at her concerts twice here in Hungary.Needless to say those were the nights of my life. She's my favourite singer and just like ABBA she was much more successful in Europe than in the usa.
"Does your mother know" is such a wholesome song! It's admitting that a young person is full of all sorts of feelings AND that a fully grown adult has a responsibility to neither shame nor take advantage.
For any litlle thing in the universe, for good or for bad,,,they are unique...Nothing compares to their aesthetics. How could the guitarrist not to fail notes on his solo??
You should definitely give the instrumental "Arrival" a listen - it's gorgeous.... some other favourites I don't think you've done yet are People Need Love, That's Me, Rock Me, Nina Pretty Ballerina, Suzy Hang Around, Dance (While the Music Still Goes On).
Thanks for the reaction. Shame the clip was cut a little. I don't know -- you see clips like this and you see why they tried to keep working together after the divorces. It's like the really sad part. The girls never had songwriters that could even come close to Benny/Bjorn. But it's the same with the guy's too. No singers can do this stuff like the girls. But I can understand it too. It was just too much. Can't wait for the new stuff and so happy they all seem like a group again. They were so groundbreaking before. this may start a whole new type concert experience,
ABBA, MY DRUG WHEN FEELING DOWN AND BLUE, EVER SINCE 1974. THIS PERFORMANCE IS FROM WEMBLEY ARENA, NOVEMBER 10TH 1979. 5 NEW ABBA SONGS WILL ARRIVE LATER THIS YEAR. LOOKING FORWARD TO HEAR YOUR REACTIONS TO THEM. MEAN WHILE, TRY THESE OUT: TROPICAL LOVELAND FROM THIRD ALBUM: ABBA, IT HAS A BEAUTIFUL REGGAE FEEL TO IT. ALSO A LIVE PERFORMANCE OF GET ON THE CARROUSEL, WHICH NEVER WAS RELEASED ON ANY ALBUM, BUT FROM ABBA THE MOVIE. HAVE AN ABBA DABBA DOOO DAY🤩🤩🤩🤩
Two other really good songs, and great live performances as well...the whole in your soul was maybe even abit better then does your mother know, here,in live performance, although as songs, studio wise,I cant tell which one I like the most.....great to see this double number....
You have a little bit missing in the end there of does your mother know! Perhaps through some editing accidentally - and it's only short, but it's a fun end. Great reaction and music though for sure. Beautiful stuff!
If you haven't already seen: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ABBA:_The_Movie What I have her Lasse Hallström just did tell Abba that he will do a documentary about there Australia tour, but sneak in some actors to make it like a film.
IT'S WEMBLEY..hehehhe. And it's not "Mamma"....it's "Ah Hah...you paint your world and use all colors, ah hah...and then you find it comes out all too bright. you know it's only a lie. ah hah...the songs you sing are too romantic, ah hah and then you find it all comes out too bright...you know it's only a lie" . This is one of my more favorite performances. they have so much energy. I agree with you about music. It can trigger a memory, take you back in time, make you cry from the sheer beauty.
Can't wait to listen/watch! Hey and other than the joy of abba doco which you mentioned you wanted to watch and is amazing, the thank you for the music documentary interview from Australia also reappeared but just under this title from sky news australia and is also fantastic. I think both these two documentaries sure the best two of ABBa that I've personally seen: th-cam.com/video/OnOca2yLVXQ/w-d-xo.html
Glad u did this #FORTWORTHFABIAN. I agree with u that not EVERY song of their's was a great song but there are very few in their catalogue that aren't. I do not like Under Attack at all but a lot of fans do.
Love the girls' sexy posing and playing up to the guitarists .. But I think Bjorn should have just left it up to them to do it .. When he bounces around behind them, peering like a Peeping Tom over the guy's shoulder as they are grabbing his legs, it looks more than a little weird ... Anyway, it's a great live performance of 2 great songs .. Thanks, Wayne
Uh... you kinda missed some of the way the song builds up there when you paused it... a couple of times at least. Go back and watch it again without pauses, you'll like it.
You are not concentrated enough and you have lost lot of the best moments in that performance, also your nervous finger skipped ,not for the only one ,parts away,do a better more respectful job .you remind me more often from the past in the 70 when idiots laugh about ABBA

Over the rooftops.
My first ever concert was ABBA at Wembley Arena, November 5th 1979, the first night they played there.
Lucky you

loved this when it was release and still love it now....the dance floor was always packed when it was played..x
You have to do, The way old friends do, it's short but it's a anthem for today's times.
I absolutely agree! And it has to be the live-version, it's amazing!
Such a great song.

It's one of the few songs that have gotten a cover from Mike Oldfield, a guitar and music virtuoso in his own right (it's on his QE2 album).
Finally you are doing ABBA again!😁😁

Well done! Yes it's Wembley!
I definitely couldn't live without music. It's therapeutic for me too.
You should do a reaction to the song "Slipping Through My Fingers". It's a live performance from the Dick Cavett Show in april, 1981.

Think there was a verse cut short in Does Your Mother Know for some reason right after the guitar solos!!!

Andante Andante Freda at her best
First guitarsolo Mats Ronander second guitarsolo by Lasse Wellander.
I can't live without music either.
Wembley 1979
Try "Man in the Middle." Straight Up Funk!
To get Condition for the Show they had their own Ballet Teacher
Wow!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes its Wembley..
I think the name Bjorn is pronounced Biorn, replace the j with an i. I have been an ABBA fan since the 70s, and still is. Thanks for your videos.
To answer your question 🙂why haven't you done I am the City or the piper yet?

they were not divorced yet, I think Agnetha just had her first child and after returning from Australia she has her second child
It's in wembley.
Hey HIP HOP - We Don LIKE that YOU CUT The END OF Does your Mother Know - OK
Your perfectly right, delusions lol that was a song of there’s too
Disillusion
When are you going to react to the "Mamma Mia" movie? I would love to see that reaction FortWorthFabian
Was that you that cut out the second half of "Does Your Mother Know" or was it TH-cam or what. If it was you, why.
Probably to get it by youtube and the copyright policies.
Uh... you kinda missed some of the way the song builds up there when you paused it... a couple of times at least. Go back and watch it again without pauses, you'll like it.
Australia
You missed the highest Agnetha note!
think its Sidney
The biggest selling band worldwide along with the beatles and Queen so you know nothing
You deleted the best part , transition to the other song
Pronounce Bjorn like if the j is an i, Biorn.
