Thank you for creating this video. I have had some struggle learning to use this scope because the instructions and documentation leave a lot to be desired. The new firmware looks like it will make it much easier for me to learn how to use this tool.

I think I was too harsh when I said "the instructions and documentation leave a lot to be desired" It is really my experience with a scope that leaves a lot to be desired. I even bought the book "Advanced Labscope Voltage and Current Testing" from aesWave hoping it will take me to the next level. I'm excited to use the new presets because I believe it will help me get through this mental block I have when it comes to learning to use a scope.
The sensor info showing the scope settings for some of the sensors and the injectors , secondary ign etc is good, but it would be great if it would be possible to get a manual like that of all the sensors and and outputs with good and bad wave forms. Something that one could take to the vehicle and refer to while doing a test as remembering everything when you get to the vehicle is difficult, having the engine running while playing around with a devise is not good for the engine and wastes gas. George Justin was great in explaining the unit. How can I purchase one fully updated with the newest software? The videos are just so helpful. You can read instructions all day long and Lear nothing but seeing it done is fantastic. 👍👍👍

I do have a question I have software 6.3.6 and when I go into presets all I get is no file for all of the options is No File. I got the impression that some presets were part of the software. Was I wrong? Or did you make all of your presets?
There are two parts to the update. 1 is for the software, the 2nd adds the presets to the SD card. If you did not do both parts or you did and still receive No File error, email support@aeswave.com for how to fix it.
when do i need to use a attenuator with uscope? i purchased the basic kit so i dont have paddle probes,is it ok to place a coin ontop of COP and get a waveform without attenuator? also i have a hantek 20:1 attenuator is this able to be used on uscope?
If I update, what happens to the presets I already have saved? Is that Charging "Alt AC" preset equal to the AC Adapter from the old splash menu- where I would use my AES AC Adapter? I called AESwave a week ago and was told there would be zooming upgrades to this version..can you elaborate?
Presets are saved on the SD card and not affected with an update. The Alt AC preset is similar to AC adapter preset from the splash menu. Additional information about the update and its features will be available soon.

Watching your video and testing my scope I notice I don't have the fuel pump amp ramp and under charging I don't have alt/ac, just have battery/crank test. Do you recommend for me to return the u-scope?
Jorge, You probably received a scope with an SD card that didn't get updated. It's hard to keep track when you have hundreds of little black cards every where. Updating the uScope presets is a simple process. Send us an email to support@AESwave.com and we will send you links and documents to complete the update. It is free and takes less than 5 minutes.

David, occasionally the preset loading tool does not like to save data through the uScope. If you have a micro SD card reader or SD card adapter, you can remove the card from the uScope, use the card reader or adapter, and re-run the preset loading program. If you continue to have problems send us an email or call the office.
David C. Pearson IV did you do both parts of the update? Meaning the operating software and the presets. This is 2 separate functions for update and uses 2 different updater apps
@@bav-lab3584 I did not do a 2 part update. I did remove and reseat the card and the functions appeared. The firmware did update. What did I miss for the 2nd part?

An attenuator is available for primary ignition or if you need to view measurements above the 80 volts which the screen can display. There are currently no plans for a 2 channel version.
Is there a vehicle simulator available for training/practice? I think snap-on had a little electronics vehicle simulator to practice on with the scope. That way we can practice without needing to be at a vehicle.
The update software will be made available for older units very soon, look for a notification on the AES wave Tech feed fb page, as well as aeswave.com and the aeswave youtube channel

Farely new to scopes. On the video can show low amp hook up or ignition paddle hook up and how and when to use an atinuator

Snap on used to make a demo board that ran off a 9v battery. I am not sure if tit is still available. Part number is EESX306A
My uscope paddle prob got spark from distributoe cap, now it do not measure any voltage. Doesn't it have any safety? Is it repairable?
