Great video. I fished both days of those events. Was lucky enough to finish 2nd as a co-anlger on Saturday. We spend the winters close by Harris. I see there are 2 BFL's and a Toyota there next year. I am hoping to get in all of them. Keep them video's coming. Steve Smith Commerce, Michigan.

We spend the winter at The Villages about 6 miles from Venitian Gardens. I get to fish Harris quite a bit. Fishing the BFL's as a Co Angler is always an adventure. I have got it down to 5 rods. Chatterbait, Rattle Trap, Swimming Worm, Jerkbait and Flipping Stick. Will look you up this winter. @@SouthGeorgiaBassin

March 19th this year ! Coldest day of the year that morning for Central Florida. A major cold front had come through the night before. Our faces were frozen after blast off !! LOL We warmed up though when the tanks starting getting snatched out from under those docks. He could skip a Jack Hammer like a champ ! Impressed this ole veteran bass fisherman for sure. Good Times. Oh brother believe me I took it this day ! LOL 😆 I netted everyone of them. Two of the 5 Pounders came off in the net !!!! 😏 Scary moment but didn't loose any fish this day thank goodness. I netted way more pounds than I caught that's for sure. I was fishing behind a vacuum cleaner but had a blast !!! As you could tell from our reactions !!! Yes most definitely a day I will never forget and Joey too. We had a blast. The morning started off slow so we just decided to go try some spots he hasn't fished in a while and then well you saw, it was on ! We have since stayed in touch and even fished together some more for practice and fun. It's what I love about this sport of bass fishing. It's amazing the number of great people in my life I would have never met if it wasn't for fishing. Thanks for watching.
What does it cost to enter and is it customary to give the boater cash ?
Good question as I did not take the time to discuss it in the video so I'm glad you asked. I'm sure there are other people wondering the same thing. I'm probably going to dedicate a video just for that this fall when the new schedule and fees come out. In 2023 I registered with a MLF Membership which was $95.00 Annually. That gets you in on the level to fish tournaments. Its called "Tournament Angler Eligibility". Then you pick the Region you want to fish in and check the schedule to make sure you can make it to them on your timeline. I went with the Gator division which is the Central Florida area which is closet to me. I live right on the GA/FL line. This Year it was $113.30 per tournament as a Co-angler. Which to me is nothing. I blow that in small local derby's to fish drain ponds ! LOL Then the end of season Super Tournament (2Day) was $169.96. If you end up in 45th or less for the season then you qualify to fish in the Regional for a Phoenix Bass Boat !!! Hope this helped. If you never tried it I highly recommend it. Oh, and yes its usually customary to tip your boater some gas money. It ranges from $40 to $60. At least that's the average I've seen or talked about with other Co-Anglers. I try to judge it by how far of runs we had to make to catch fish. But there is not set amount. I've personally had boaters turn it down when I offered. This was a tournament this past March 2023. My favorite chatterbait set up is a Lews Pro TLPT1SH Reel 7.5:1 on a 6th Sense Heater Rod 7'2" Medium Moderate Fast with Seaguar InvizX 12lb Fluorocarbon Line ! It's a light weight set up that can be comfortably fished with in a 8 hour tournament. I love the setup. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

Yup you are correct. Officially it was a second place finish by only 2 ounce. 28.4 was 1st and Second was 28.2. When I was referring to a 1st Place finish I was mainly talking about his attitude about coming in second when pretty much our run in to weigh in we were thinking he may win this thing. He took the second place let down like a champ if you ask me. He congratulated the winner with upmost respect and if you remember in my video he even said " If someone beats this they deserve the win" This old man had a blast with him that day. He kept me on my toes with that net !!! LOL. We have since fished together some more for fun and practice. You will be seeing a lot more of this man in 2024. He has a big announcement coming soon.
