I’m really glad I didn’t just watch one video but subscribed to your channel. You are a great teacher your in tutorials. This tutorial just made me decide to keep the dual forms I was about to pitch. I wasn’t really thrilled with polygel but the set did come with dual forms and a great brush. I never would have even thought about using them with gel to make a nail until I watched this. Thank you so much!
Interesting! I was thinking about getting dual forms but I kinda want to try the Apres Gel-X Nail Extension System. Also, I am looking forward to the thumb palette! 💖
I've been watching a lot of videos on this technique and it seems pretty easy however I do have one question. What about primer before placing the nail? that was one step not shown but I'm thinking it's still important and should be done. Is this right? Thank you, I love your videos
An e-file and/or hand file. An efile will get the bulk of the extension off quickly, then you want to switch to a hand file as you get close to the natural nail.
Libby Owens It works I tried it a few times. I had a set for a whole month but my current set didn't do as well. I think it had something to do with using a efile which made them more fragile.
Hi! I’m new to this. The gel form the first one, how does one apply polish to it? Can you just use gel polish like normal and cure it under the uv light
The one with the soak off gel is going to break because it’s too thin at the stress point. However, the one with the hard gel looks great and I’m sure that lasted longer for you, as it had just the right amount of thickness. Have you ever tried polygel with dual forms? Excellent video, by the way.
I haven’t. I wasn’t initially impressed with the attributes so I opted to save my money. Lol If you know of any soak off polygels though, Id be inclined to try them.
abetweene yes, me, too. Polygel is expensive. I have seen other polygel like products on Ali Express, such as Venalisa and Canni polygel for a lot cheaper.
Great tutorial, but could you include how you pinched the nail please, I like to pinch my nails and I didn't think you could do that with a duel form so that was putting me off using them to be honest!
Thats exactly my qualm with dual forms...you cannot pinch the nail when using gel (only acrylic). I believe the gel must cure fully before removing the form, so theres no opportunity to pinch before the gel sets completely.
I would love to see these forms with Madam Glam Builder since that is what I use. I actually just bought some forms but I feel like they don’t fit properly since I have a big natural c curve.
if your using a good primer lifting shouldn’t be an issue, and you can refill as normal every 2-3 weeks only you can just file and reapply the dual form again.
I got these forms and used them for the first time yesterday. I didn't realize they had a downward curve. I like my nails straight. If you ever find forms that are straighter please let us know.
if you use a soak off gel, just soak it off with acetone. if you used a hard gel, you must file it off. I have a video here on how I remove mine > | th-cam.com/video/X0cVTSmAU50/w-d-xo.html
I've watched a few videos on using gel with dual nails and this is by far the clearest - both in terms of video clarity and explanation. Thank you x
you’re very welcome!
This is very helpful! I've watched all sorts of videos on this topic, and yours is the most understandable. Thank you!
😁

youre welcome! glad you’re enjoying the vids
Thanks for explaining why not to put to close to the cuticle. 👍
yw 😉
I love duel forms, I use them with polygel and they work great. Such a time saver!
rawreen and many saver too :)
I love akzentz warm pink it’s so pretty I use it to sculpt a lot. The second pronunciation was right with the zen sound.
thanks! glad i eventually got it right lol
Wow, this is really neat! Looks perfect for us people who want to do our nails at home.
exactly, and saves time too
Thank you for the info. I bought this kit a month ago and have been hesitant to using it. Also that it can be used with other products as well!
yw!

I was actually looking at them too before i ordered these, but decided against it. 😘 Itll be very soon!

yes, you’ll still want to prep the nail as usual and can apply primer if you desire.
What do you find to be the best way to remove hard gel nails? I purchased everything to try this but am nervous about getting them off!!
An e-file and/or hand file. An efile will get the bulk of the extension off quickly, then you want to switch to a hand file as you get close to the natural nail.
Can you make a video only about using the dual forms?
How cool! Yes, please do the madam glam in a bottle!!! I wonder if it would work for this technique. It seems so fragile.

I love dual forms

hi 👋🏽 youll want to use a builder or structure gel. you can polish your nail like normal after filing.
Does the nail need to be polish after ?
Great job on them both💅🏾
thank you!
Can you do a video on how you remove your hard gels?
Sure!
Excellent!!!! Thank you

Filming this weekend😉
Awesome!
Is hard gel the same as polygel?
Hey 👋🏼 Is A Gel Nail Polish Lamp the same as a UV lamp?
There are 2 different types of gel lamps, LED and UV so, you’ll want to ask the seller for clarification on which it is.
How long do they last before either breaking or needing to refill?
if your using a good primer lifting shouldn’t be an issue, and you can refill as normal every 2-3 weeks only you can just file and reapply the dual form again.
Do you know any other very thick soak off gels like you mentioned with self leveling properties? Mine are soooo runny.
Vetro Extension Clear
abetweene would you consider it closer to the gels you showed in this vid?
Yes, its very very similar to the Leaf Gel.
Do you still recommend these forms?
yes
ur best bet is to us a nail form when using dual forms so nothing squishes out under the nail therefore NOT needing clean up.
Thank you so much !!
What does your nails look like underneath?
Thanks!
What about doing this with your non-dominant hand?
Still works, all u have to do is press and hold
This looks hard though
i promise its not 😉
What a coincidence. My sister just bought me these and i was wondering if I could use gel for them
perfect!
Can you use dual forms twice?
yes
Yea Stitch!!😁
So is this kinda like arylics then?
yup!
I got these forms and used them for the first time yesterday. I didn't realize they had a downward curve. I like my nails straight. If you ever find forms that are straighter please let us know.
Absolutely. Im on the hunt too
sorry I did not notice when you pinched the free edge!,,
you don't have to use a UV light??
i used an LED Lamp
Nice!!!!
Please make a video with dual forms and Madam Glam builder.
coming next week 😉
I did it! Can't wait to see your video
Off topic, but can you show your crystal collection please 😌
im afraid u already saw it. Just those two at the moment 😩
Do you need a uv lamp for this ?
Yes, UV or LED
Okay !! Can you make a video of how you refill it ?? I love your videos 💕
Sure!
Can I use a led flashlight?
no
where do you get this from
link is in the description box below the video😉
Can this technique work on short bitten nails?
Yes it can, just be careful in not applying too much gel
abetweene thanks! I will start with a small amount and see how it goes. Appreciate the response!
I've added more gel before, baddddd lmao, i say, do it in layers because that heat spike was NOT popping. I stick to nail forms after I tried it.
Lol, i feel u. Heat spikes 🙅🏽♀️ the worst!
Thanks for showing us how to use it ok here comes my question How do I remove????
if you use a soak off gel, just soak it off with acetone. if you used a hard gel, you must file it off. I have a video here on how I remove mine > | th-cam.com/video/X0cVTSmAU50/w-d-xo.html
Pity you speak so quickly I just could ot . understand everything!!!
