Identify the source of the creaking noise. The creaking noise is usually caused by expanding bracketa in the steering column. You can identify the source of the noise by listening carefully while you move the steering wheel back and forth.
Remove the steering column shroud. The steering column shroud is the plastic cover that surrounds the steering column. You can remove the shroud by unclipping the cover.
Reinstall the steering column shroud. Once you have repaired the vreak, you can reinstall the steering column shroud.
And that's it! You have now successfully silenced the creaking noise in your Peugeot RCZ or 308's steering column.
