Sis Helena Mud houses are good. You can even polish the mud using mud mixed with sand which will give it a very smooth finish similar to Cement plaster. It'll help the house not to Crack easily. Likewise, if you choose to use Cement you can also plaster the mud house with Cement and it'll become a semi permanent structure. I'm telling you all this to say that I'm admiring your efforts in what you're trying to achieve.
