- The K35 Wireless microphone is a very usable microphone at an insanely budget friendly price. Some design elements of the makes it cumbersome and a wine in the signal when ONLY connected to a camera makes prevents it from being perfect. Outside of the camera, this is a solid option for mobile devices and stand alone recorders.

Thanks for your comprehensive review! I guess I'd be able to use the K35 mic to plug into my Windows laptop, right? I want to use it when teaching an online class (on Zoom or Teams) and walking around a physical classroom so people online could hear me still around the room. I used a snowball mic before but the room acoustics don't always work well with this - I thought a portable mic like this might be better.
Yup, absolutely can use it that way.
The 3 banded adapter is TRRS for phones that still use a standard headphone jack.
I was thrilled when my wireless mics ( different brand) came with one because I still use my old Samsung Note 9, which yes, has the C port, but also has the headphone port. The TRRS adapter can be used with other types of mics. Such as a Boya or Rode shotgun mic for example. Such phones can only accept TRRS not the 2 banded TRS. 👍
Edit: I just tested my phone with the TRRS cable with the receiver vs plugging the receiver into the C port. Interestingly, I got some hissing using the cable vs no hissing using the C port during moments of silence.
I'm not an expert but I think this is because the cables aren't shielded and pick up static noise or hiss. Eliminating the cable eliminates the source of the noise.

The one thing I have noticed as a big difference from the better quality wireless mics is that for the k35 has a more noise reduction which makes the sound a bit less sweet to listen to, but overall the sound is usable.
Nice review. I have bought it for live classroom teaching and it works fine (though I have humming issue due to interference inside classroom). But one issue: receiver runs just 4-4.5 hours. And I cant charge it while using. So do you know any hacks to extend its battery life or connecting it to some external battery source by some modifications?

hello but is it possible to use it with a camera too? just because each time I have a different TRRS plug, it just does not work. For cameras the only working type is the 3,5 TRS (stereo) for MIC input. Does the adapter make it possible and it will work as if I used a normal TRS stereo jack plug? We have just bought a single reciver with multiple microphones but we are struggling with levels not sure if we just have a bad mic.
I bought a K35 wireless microphone similar to your demo video. But unfortunately, when plugged into my Sony digital camera the distortion was so bad I have not used again. (Also audio levels excessively high on camera). However, I noticed you mention 3 setting modes on the receiver. Amplifier mode, camera mode and sound card mode. None of these settings I knew about, and no mentioned in the instructions. Could this be the reason for my problems or is there another reason for distortions on playback?Thanks for any tips.

The converter is for using on a GoPro that uses TRS type and the receiver is a TRRS type. Unfortunately, when l use the converter I get a hissing sound
Take the clip off, file down the nub, glue on a neodymium magnet, then use another magnet or long necklace with metal under your shirt and clip it onto your shirt that way. Like the Go3 action camera.

If you plug the other 3.5 adapter into your camera it will work better
I just wanted to comment, I bought the same wireless mic and found the same issue when connected to my R50 the ringing sound on the video recording. Also found the fix for that one.😁
Instead of using auto mic volume, change it to manual and lower the volume overall, it would remove the "ringing" sound over playback.
Can you use it in a speaker? Connect and it will transfer your voice on the speaker?

Can someone help ? I want to use this with my laptop on zoom calls. Use this mic but laptop speakers. However when the adaptor pin is inserted to laptop jack then no sound will come. It assumes headset is in so understood. Any solution to use the mic but speaker on laptop?

Great review on a mic I'm interested in buying. From my experience the hiss is caused by feedback and can be removed using an inline filter ( ground loop ). They're cheap and I have them on all my audio inputs. They go between the 3.5mm jack on the camera and the receiver. Hope this helps 😃😃

Hi, does anyone know if there a wireless bluetooth microphone that DOESN’T require a transmitter/receiver/dongle that attaches to the recording device, and can connect directly to the device’s bluetooth? It would ideally work similarly to how a wireless bluetooth headset would, just without the audio output, only audio input.
The reason I ask, is because either the dongle or the device port where it’s inserted is prone to damage each time I insert/remove it.

Yeah I tried it with it, for me still no difference. And because of the adapter, it sticks out super awkward.

@@LoKnows The hissing noise is due to inverted mic and ground contacts. If you check the diagram for a TRRS there are two types OMTP and CTIA. Just search for OMTP to CTIA Converter TRRS.

No it doesn't work through the headphones plug, I tried that and I had to buy an adapter

I think your camera might have in-built 🎤, maybe that's why it's making that sound.

Thought I'd try this on my H1N and it makes a high pitched noise, like it's not connected properly. I tried it on my Android find (Miui) and it works fine.

Why do you have background music playing? Too much processing in these mics. Much better to have straightforward natural sounding audio - which should be easily attainable, and inexpensive.

I can't get this stupid thing to work at all, no matter what I've done. As far as I'm concerned, it's junk.
This really seems to be geared towards female voices. Way to much mid range. Some clean up and it should sound better. Seems like the CAM mode would be good for Protests and Riots. 😂
