This intro has aged very well imo, the game itself is still one of my favorites. The music on this game still kicks ass to this day. I remember going up against some of my friends and staying up wee hours of the morning between this game and KOF 98 just having a blast. I just recently got KOF 15 and I must say I'm pretty impressed with it and I gotta admit that it brought back some memories giving goosebumps on those good old days once again lol.
2:48 Oh my god after all these years I finally remember why Ornstein and Smough's intro from Dark Souls sounded so familiar, it's literally the same music notes as Terry running up to Jeff's body.
It took me 15 years to find this game... I remember this intro from when i was a kid and seriously, everybody i ever asked never knew about this game. They pointed me out to so many other fighting games like Tekken but i knew it wasn't Tekken, i knew it was something else and today i finally found it.
I got this at a specialty shop around 2000 or 2001 on a trip to New York. I thought this was the pinnacle of graphics. Got I squeezed the juice out of this game.
Fatal Fury Wild Ambition : only on Hyper Neo Geo 64, japanese Playstation.(1999) Two NEW characters : Toji Sakata and Tsugumi Sendo. They're in cameos in KOF 2002 : Unlimited Match. (japanese PS2) Two hidden characters in Playstation : Mr Karateka aka RyôS akazaki and Duck King ! The final boss : Geese Howard
Fatal Fury will forever be the best and original game title for the Neo-Geo SNK Corp. A Classic Story Between an avenger and a murderer. Also Terry The Legendary Lone Wolf Bogard can never be forgotten or defeated and will never back down from a fight especially if the opponent is tough to beat. O-Kay
Jeff thought victory for his side was at hand... But Geese's might proved to be overwhelming, even for an expert like Jeff. Jeff was killed. His son Terry swore revenge.
That actually wasn't even in the Art of Fighting canon either. Takuma was supposed to kill Jeff but because he was stopped by Ryo in AoF, that didn't come to pass. AoF2's ending has Geese saying to rub Jeff out to a subordinate, by this time Takuma was free.
AVTY That's right. The (possibly non-canon) Super NES version made it seem like Takuma did in fact kill Jeff, but AOF 2 and later, this game, said that Geese himself carried out the act.
@AmAxel35 I love how You explained ALL that, yet that didn't change what happens in This Video BEING The Main Canon anyways, and i love how you didn't realize that 😆🙂
This would make a tight movie... graphics wise I mean... speaking of... they need to come up with a fourth movie since Geese survived.... Been itchin my balls waitin
His father's name is Rudolph Krauser Von Stroheim, Geese tried to assassinate him when he was 15, but fails due to his half-brother, Wolfgang Krauser, effortlessly stopping him. He tried to rid of his anger through religion but couldn't shake the humiliation of his loss
@@hamadhumaid1984 Man. All that past trauma especially dealing with a strict father and losing a lenient mother made him grow power hungry. Deep down, he is a sad and lonely person. Dealing with a monstrous fate must have made him feel empty on the inside. It sucks having to lose a lenient mother and deal with a strict father. Not only that, it sucks to lose an innocent childhood. Some people have became dictators because of the embarrassing childhood they had to suffer from and that's why the have become evil. As they say, villains are created, not born.
@@hamadhumaid1984 Trying to get rid of anger through religion but cannot deal with the humiliation of your loss? No wonder some people grew up to become dictators. Wild Ambition would be more successful as an Arcade & Dreamcast game, with all 32 playable fighters throughout the entire Fatal Fury anthology. Just so the game can rival against 鉄拳TEKKEN Tag Tournament.
Sorry the last two comments were not from Shoryuken612. Ryu fighting weak opponents and Terry Regaining his victory were my comments. Anyway atleast I explain my reasons
It's actually a Hakama, the uniform that Geese wears and also samurai's wear. A kimono is the thing that women wear, like a geisha or someone. Traditional Japanese woman would wear a kimono!
Umm... I'd have to say Street Fighter Collection was much better than this. Mortal Kombat Trilogy, Tekken 2, SFA3, Soul Blade, Capcom vs SNK Pro, KOF 99, even Street Fighter The Movie Game. The only game that may have been worse than this one from the PSX was Street Fighter EX.
they'd be better off securing rights to ADK games (which they already did with world heroes). double dragon is already a solid franchise on its own, so please miss me with that comment.
damn dawg. niether streets of rage nor double dragon have anything to do with the SNK universe other than the fact that they are represented on NEO GEO
Jeeze theres a lot of bull shit in this topic. Ryu lost to Ken once but Ken didn't count it as Ryus mind was clouded. Ryu has not lost to Akuma. Akuma refused to fight him saying Ryu had not reached his full potential and finaly Ryu lost to Oro in SFIII not Alex. He then became Oros student.
El juego no estaba a la altura de semejante intro. Personalmente preferia jugar las versiones normales de Fatal Fury. Me decepciono el final, esperaba una cinemática como esta lo cual no se dio

Wish SNK made an Anime with a serious tone like this! This intro was probably the most badass ever!
BEST intro for a fighting Game ever made.
Strongly agree.
Not even close.

finally found the intro
This brought back so many memories.. 1999 .. RIP grandpa ❤️
Man i love this intro!, thanks for the upload!!
jesus one of the first videos on youtube insane
One of the best ps1 fighting game my favorite character Kim Kaufman I love his overdrive finisher move
The two guys that are always flanking Geese are Ripper and Hopper, his two closest bodyguards (not including Billy).
Walking up the stairs.... LIKE A BOSS!
This intro pissed me off as a kid when geese killed their dad.
It because Tung Ru chose Jeff as his successor instead of Geese since Tung sense evil Heart within geese.

WOW, As I saw Jeff(Terry's Father) give him his hat I saw mines too and I was wearing it at the exact time ! WOW, makes me part of the story.
this is the FIRST that starts MANY things for me ...

Jeff was killed. His son Terry swore revenge.
Both Jeff and Geese trained by Tung Fu Rue
Que nostalgia, melhor jogo de luta do PlayOne, quero comprar um PlayOne pra relembrar os jogos da minha infância kkkkkkk
terry, the best american character made for japaneses, terry bogard the best character of fighting games!!!
I loved this as a kid, now I'm realizing that Jeff just got perfected and didnt even make it to round 2

yes i saw and i think the story of shenmue and this game is similar

No...
Father!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
The best intro of all videogames. Terry's rules!!!! [2]
You know, I get that it's to establish that the kid is Terry, but I just can't help but wonder "man, are those the ONLY clothes Terry has ever worn"?
That's right looks like we got a real Fatal Fury fan.
superman change his clothes?,terry represent the american flag in his clothes, its an icon,it is not just a cloth
pense en esos tiempos que iva a venir una pelicula de esto... peronlamentablemente no vino nada 😡
Andy and Terry look like if they were Geese´s sons
Now that would be pretty awesome.
If Ryo & Robert fought with young Geese then Terry is more younger than Ryo and Robert, right?
14 years younger than Ryo and Robert.
This also means he's 10 years younger than Yuri.
That bald guy at 1:08 reminds me of Rude from FFVII Advent
You mean Ripper

I'd knew that Geese Howard had Adolf Hitler ancestry.

@mrmacross LOL! Timeless fashion!!
No, Geese Howard was always the one who killed Jeff.
But Geese is afraid of one person and that's his half-brother Wolfgang Krauser
The backstory of KOF, FF and AOF is a very mercurial and unstable thing...
Pessoal disse mó mal desse jogo mais pra mim sem dúvida um dos melhores de luta do ps1 top ..
Agreed. The original concept was cool.
You know. If Terry did not remeber he droped his hat. Terry would have been a huge bloody road kill.
yeah but I thought that it has a name, like for example a karate uniform is called a "Gi" and the samurai wear a kimino.

It is a kung fu suit, just like the ones Bruce Lee used to wear and other Chinese martial artists (Kung Fu practitioners).

Kimono are unisex. It's not at all unusual for men to wear them (though it is considered old-fashioned).

This fucking intro. Made me hate Geese. Badass start to any game ever.
Ryu lost to Ken and Alex in SF3 Alex won and Ryu beat Alex at the end, but Alex beat Ryu first.
Inferior in quality compared to tekken 3, dead or alive 2 or soul edge intros but still enjoyable.
He lost to Gouki too.
DOH! x_x Ok thank you
Is very good its is game. Im liked and the video also.
