4:33 totally avoidable but justified crash out. At that point the thought in his mind was probably "I don't deserve to have a working controller" which feels right
Anybody else grow up kinda poor and cringe hardcore after every broken controller. I remember seeing Gallagher smash an NES on TV as a kid and it crushed my soul knowing I'd never be able to own one(kid logic). To this day, even though I've worked my way to upper middle class, I still can't mentally disrespect any possession I end up with. I'm glad the scene has calmed down.
Yeah it was always a wild childhood moment to have my “stick drift & button stuck” controller because that was the only one we had, and seeing a friend spike their controller on the ground at a game of CoD only to have a new one later that week
I grew up pretty well off and i cringe too. It's still a waste of money, a waste of materials and just immature. Like yea i get it's frustrating sometimes. But control yourself. No pun intended
I’ll be completely honest: I’ve spiked a controller at somebody’s head before. Me and two of my cousins were playing Mario Maker Co-Op, and I was getting fed up with how they were playing. I got so mad that I threw my Pro Controller right at one of their heads. Needless to say, my parents weren’t too happy about that, and I’ve regretted it ever since.
Okay that falling animation tip at the very end is crazy. Part of the reason I love ultimate so much is just the crazy amount of attention to detail and even after all these years we can still discover new things.
13:47 Yeah, that's the sorta thing that doesn't even get you _removed as friend._ That just makes the _victim_ demand _eye-for-an-eye_ revenge, where he won't let him play until the other guy lets him """gently""" throw a controller at _his_ head.
I really miss these Smash Bros. salt compilations. They were so fun to watch. Also that fact at the end about the double jump was really interesting. I've been playing Ultimate for six years and never heard about or noticed that before.
The problem with that double jump animation thing is that if you do an aerial, special or airdodge after your double jump, you go back to your default falling animation again.
The context that these are small tournaments and mostly unknown players is hilarious. Like, there's nothing on the line for most of these. It also goes to show that having a decent mentality goes a long way towards success. Also Leffen was and is a child.
I’ve been doing tournaments for several years and I surprisingly didn’t hear many controller spikes around me. I did make someone cry once late in Smash 4’s lifespan however.
Being a TO is fun, helping to get everything set up and calling matches. People that rage like this are my biggest fear though. People screaming and shouting after losing is awkward enough, but if anyone happens to break something, there is a risk we lose the venue.
Kiraflax lives in my region now. He’s definitely mellowed out a LOT over the years. He still has his intense moments where he gets ramped up, but he keeps his spirits high. Plus everyone gets a good laugh out of it now because everyone knows if he loses he'll grind the fuck out of the matchup or grind with the player to try and get the runback.
I remember throwing my controllers around as a kid. Heck, even my Dad used to throw controllers around when he was pissed at the game. I got so bad he bought me a NERF brand PS2 controller made of foam so it couldn't break. Once I realized my tantrums didn't solve anything I stopped not long after that. Here's hoping these players grow up too lol
"People aren't as angry as they used to be!" No, people just get more aware each year that they're being recorded _somewhere,_ and that if they rage, it's gonna follow them long after they leave the venue. It'll be 2 years later, they try to compete, "Did you get your head checked out? No? Can't afford it? Too bad, then. Piss off 'til you can afford therapy for your rage issues." ... Y'know, it was just an example, but I feel dirty for _typing it like that._
People have definitely not become more chill when it comes to competitive games. Source: Someone who got back into Brawl Stars. I am surprised by how much less I see tournament rage and saltiness. I don't really find new content of it, even when I look it up, and my tournament experience has been tame so far. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
I dont come to this channel to watch tiktoks, have always enjoyed the higher effort content here. Although tiktok reactions may bring views, they're views for the wrong reasons. If you do start reacting to tiktoks then it's important to credit the creators, otherwise its simply profiting from content theft.
I still love the Super Smash Bros. franchise and it is my favorite video game of all time but I have to admit it’s competitive play has all of the above. I even remember the minor incidents back in 2020 too
Not to victim blame but why would anyone share their controller? Doesnt matter if H-box or mkleos asks you shouldnt lend a stranger something you care about
this isn't funny... I don't get why we make a laughing stock out of anyone we see on the internet. Think about someone's feelings. You guys just focus on the funny part of it
Got some bigger videos coming out soon! Wanted to still put out some fun content though in the meantime, hope you all have a merry christmas :)
Merry Christmas :D
Merry Christmas bro. Thank you for the Smash content. I hope you're doing well
I want to buy a monthly membership for the smash class for someone. Don't see that it's possible to gift it to a specific person
More rivals 2 🥺🥺
i cant wait to see that smash 64 video for underdogs channel i know it’s gonna be funy😭
5:13 suicide rates have dropped to 0 after famous youtuber poppt1 tells people not to do that 🎉
14:50 we saw that reaction poppt
0:12 this is a crazy statement
my man took the wrong sack
"Hes not happy, hes so angry his hair turned red" damn poppt, you cant just casually dismantle someone like that 😂
4:33 totally avoidable but justified crash out. At that point the thought in his mind was probably "I don't deserve to have a working controller" which feels right
13:50 Guy also took the Melee disc and slid it on the wall like Ridley did to Samus in Subspace, and THEN threw it down to the ground.

Nah i still see controller throws every other tourney lol

It's actually been a thing from the very beginning, even in 64.
13:47 Yeah, that's the sorta thing that doesn't even get you _removed as friend._ That just makes the _victim_ demand _eye-for-an-eye_ revenge, where he won't let him play until the other guy lets him """gently""" throw a controller at _his_ head.

The aaaaah when Phantom Mangle appeared lols. Phantom Mangle ain't even a jumpscare.
I wasn't expecting to see anything FNAF related in this video, so it kind of got to me in a way as well, haha.
Lord help the person who breaks my $60 controller by smashing it in rage.
The context that these are small tournaments and mostly unknown players is hilarious. Like, there's nothing on the line for most of these. It also goes to show that having a decent mentality goes a long way towards success. Also Leffen was and is a child.
5:08 unironically uplifting poppt moment
8:52 This is so funny out of context
“I don’t see many rage moments anymore. Have people just become kind of mellow and more chill?”
💀💀💀 no.
14:44 lmao
you would think people learn after they break one controller
... Did... Did you just start the video by saying Santa's sack is... Salty?
7:32 is my favorite smash moment ever. just wholesome after that jerk raged.
7:07 ginger lore
there’s a greater stigma about raging and all but also i’m sure the fear of being filmed and it being clipped is in the back of everyone’s mind
I’ve been doing tournaments for several years and I surprisingly didn’t hear many controller spikes around me.
I did make someone cry once late in Smash 4’s lifespan however.
Saying "I got Instagram now" in 2024 is the most unhinged thing I've heard all week!! XD

The nastiness to these controllers is so real rn

Nah your right thats just how it is now

I think another part of it is how many eyes are on tournaments now. Who was watching tournaments even 10 years ago? Pretty much no one
Poor Controllers
It’s not their fault that the owners get salty over a game
UNDERDOGS SMASH 64?! LETS GOOOOOO
there was so much salt that it actually burned my eyes a little
Can't you get banned from certain places that hold tournaments, for bad sportsman ship like the stuff in this video?
The worst part is, is that Ragers also like alway pop off
forgot how much i like poppt1 content
I never expected to learn something from smash bros tiktoks of all things, I've seen the shit hopcat has reacted to
1 month a go my oponent threw his back pack to the seiling and then on an other set on a players head and then proceeded to spike his controller
11:22 Waaaaay ahead of you. Subscribed to all Underdogs and every individual member 😁
Bro some of these players Pyra down aired their controllers
Meteor Controllers
Don’t you hate it when someone yeets your controller
14:40 Poppt reading the comment in English is Hilarious!! XD, it's an insult in spanish btw 😊
Poppt Clause is back!!!
14:23 why do their plushies sound so heavy when they hit
Thank you Santa poppt❤

I don't understand the reason for a controller spiking it's just a real waste of money
Pro-ject M
You look like u play multiversus
bruh what😭
Because he looks like shaggy
@ no.
I'll say it again, competitive Smash is a bad mix of toxic masculinity, spectrum related issues and mental health issues.
I still love the Super Smash Bros. franchise and it is my favorite video game of all time but I have to admit it’s competitive play has all of the above. I even remember the minor incidents back in 2020 too
