I realize that I often times I come to listen to adyas satsangs to feel an okness about things when I’m struggling in my mind. Does anybody else experience this?

Great talk! Thank you for the video.
I think what Adya calls "surrender" and "inquiry" here correspond respectively to what the Buddhists call "shamatha" (resting) and "vipashyana" (clear seeing), which are like two wings of a bird. Resting without clear seeing is peaceful but dull and unintelligent. On the other hand, the clear seeing of truth usually never happens without first resting and allowing everything to be as it is. The sixth patriarch of Zen, Huineng, compared resting to the transparency of a pristine mirror and clear seeing to the natural capacity of the mirror to clearly reflect whatever object is placed in its gaze. Both the transparency and the reflective capacity are innate properties of the mirror, which is a metaphor for our true nature. All of this is to say that deep down, our innermost Being is always effortlessly at rest and cognizing the truth clearly no matter the apparent antics of our surface-level egos.

Interesting. Do you have any resources on the "dull and unintelligent" resting. I am asking because I feel not conceptualising is doing exactly this to me.

Bummer talk for me. Here I am trying to get rid of the unreal (ego) in exchange for sat chit ananda and Adya who I am especially fond of says that doing that corrupts the practice.
    Now I’m totally lost

"Trying to get rid of the unreal/ego" is what the individual would say to see truth/reality. But ego is so cunning, because it's the ego that wants to try and get rid of the unreal/ego/itself. As long as there's a feeling of want or don't want, that's definitely from the ego/unreal. Awareness is just watching everything happening, no grasping, no resisting, including watching the ego trying to to get rid of something, there's always the awareness of it, and you're that awareness/consciousness.

The O....those whose dna, from which you came from...like that? You should make it simple..My ancestors, headed up the kj, bible writing..it lends to my being somewhat a logician...tell others, simply put...forth-right..be forth right...make it simple..you are your ancestry, simply put. That's what you are made from. Real easy..not dis-ease.
