Thank you for this clip. As a European living in the USA working for an organization that deals with climate change daily, I am still numbed at the apathy in the USA about something that affects every person, animal and plant on this planet. I would hope that some day this documentary will have subtitles in english or German....in the meantime I am asking my Icelandic and Danish friends to translate ;)
anyone else surprised that three direct heirs to monarchies were allowed to go on such an expedition together? one helicopter with mechanical troubles and all three would be left with small children to inherit relatively soon. glad they returned safe & sound!

does anyone know if the three heirs are all speaking their own languages, or all speaking the same one? from what i know they are all quite similar anyway, but just wondering. too bad they didn't just speak in english... though if i was from spain i'd want spanish, etc. :-P
Yes, they were all speaking their own languages, the narrator was speaking Norwegian and most locals were speaking Danish. The three Scandinavian languages actually sound quite different, especially Danish. If you listen carefully, you should be able to tell it's not the same language. :)
When they did not speak english, they spoke their respective languages. Though there was a slight moment of confusion 2:47 when Crownpricess Victoria was asked if she had her bag (danish: taske, which is "veske"/"väska" in norwegian/swedish)

Radostina Ivanova thanks! i can usually tell Swedish from the other two, but Danish & Norwegian sound very similar to me.
