- Bridget urges Oscar to try to clear the air with Massimo. Oscar is surprised when Massimo’s tone changes and he admits that Oscar has potential. Massimo notes that Bridget has a lot of faith in Oscar. He welcomes his nephew into the family business. Bridget is thrilled for him. Deacon tells Stephanie that Sally made the decision, but he couldn’t bear to be there with Macy when they shut off the machines. Stephanie explains that she’s there because Macy wouldn’t have wanted him to be alone right now. Deacon talks about how Macy changed his life, and wonders how he’ll tell Little Eric what happened. Stephanie offers words of comfort and encouragement, and assures Deacon that he will find love again. Brooke is pleased when Jackie asks her to be her matron of honor, though she’s concerned about how Nick will feel. Ridge surprises Brooke with a steam room next to her office. He suggests they start working on having a baby. Brooke is stricken when he notes that she could even have gotten pregnant on their honeymoon.

So this is how Macy dies - a third-hand account of an off screen death, by characters who weren't even there. This is not even a poorly written death scene, this is a _faiIure to write_ a death scene. It is not poignant - it's just underwheIming and confusing. (I remember watching this for the first time and my immediate reaction was to go and check if I missed a few episodes, because here we had two characters talking as if the viewers should know about Macy's death already, when it was the first we heard about it.)
This is just so incredibly sIoppy. If it indeed happened the way Deacon says, the only natural writing choice would have been to _show us Sally making that decision,_ in order to give us some kind of closure to a beautiful on screen mother/daughter relationship that lasted 14 years. We should have been allowed to see Sally say goodbye to Macy, and her grief afterwards. If the writers wanted to keep things ambiguous, they could still have done that by simply not showing those last few seconds when the machines were turned off, without sacrificing any of the emotional payoff. But this _needed_ to be Sally and Macy's moment.
And they didn’t even bring back CJ for this before vanishing again for the second time with no explanation
Yes that was a fast way out indeed!! Not a pretty way to let go of Macy. When Taylor died they put it on long with almost unbearable scenes and here we have an off screen departure
Stephanie scenes with deacon were underrated she’s such an amazing character that has great scenes with every character
So the show couldn’t even give us a 3-4 minute scene of a heartbroken Sally agonizing over and then finally making the decision to pull the plug on Macy, but we had time for an extended vignette of Oscar mumbling and Massimo shouting at each other? Come on. This is beyond bad writing, it’s actually offensive.
Oscar is the worst character this show has had
I said the same thing. There absolutely needed to be a final Sally/Macy scene -that wasn't about Oscar.- This is the worst written character death I have seen on this show. It feels like the writers _forgot_ that BE was leaving and had to pencil this one scene in as an afterthought to explain why she was already gone.
Not only do we not get a proper death scene, we don't even get a scene with _anyone_ reacting to the news of Macy's death. Suddenly everybody just knows about it and we don't know how they found out. How does Stephanie and "her family" already know even before Deacon has had a chance to tell his son?
Even the scene we did get with Stephanie and Deacon feels oddly vague, like these two characters are just talking about what they _assume_ happened (because they weren't there). And Sally, who was there, never talks about what _did_ happen. There's deliberately open-ended and then there's just pIain confusing. This is the latter.
@@annieo6527I wonder if Bell was mad BE left of her own accord and not on his timeline and punished her by just pretending her character didn’t exist.
@ it sort of feels like it. It is odd to kiII off a character and then have the storylines progress as if that character never existed. It makes me wonder if when these scripts were written, Bell didn't actually intend to unalive Macy but rather imagined her still being in a coma, and then just changed a minimum of scenes to add her death into the script, resulting in this strange incoherence between scenes that acknowledge her death and scenes that feel like the character is still in Iimbo.
WHAT were they THINKING??
Deacon and Macy were supercouple material. So sad it ended like this
What I love about Stéphanie one minute she hates ur guts but can yet be empathic towards you when you facing hard times
Brooke's hair, makeup and dress are all the same washed out color. And notice how Jackie's wearing a similar silhouette but in a more eye catching color and the overall effect makes her look younger, prettier and more vibrant than Brooke.
Macy! 💔
I remember her first appearance bumping into the first Thorne, sitting in the cafe, her lovely chic clothes from day1, being the voice of reason for her Mom in the early days, her beautiful love moments with the second Thorne (my favorite) then Grant, hated that Anthony triangle with her Mom (lets leave the scandalous love stories for the Logans & Forresters😅), her singing! I remember so much!
❤Thanks for the memories, Bobbie Eakes!
That was a beautiful memoriam❤!
@MiriamStigsdotter thank you
Macy was a positive influence in Deacon's life
Brooke has taken all of Ridge’s family members to the steam room at FC and Ridge thinks it’s a good idea to install one there knowing his new brother is in love with his wife😂
Ridge: “Let’s work on our little project! Until you get knocked up by -some Marone brother- me, I should always be pencilled in! Because comparing Little Ridge to a pencil is very flattering.”
Brooke: “I have a meeting in a minute.”
Ridge, literally: “There’s always time!”
Me: “How can I mock the character when the show is doing it for me?!”
😂
U&ly Brooke. L o o k l i k e capybara in clothes hamper.
No wonder this show is messed up alot hhhhh
They had an off screen love making of Brooke and Nicky boy 👎👎👎
They had an off screen death of Macy being taken off the life support 👎👎👎
So so sad for Sally she lost her daughter and her company ☺️☺️☺️
Then why watch, Just to complain?
@@richardayotte6822she’s allowed to say what she doesn’t like about the show..
Well, look at that Brooke doesn't seem to feel guilty about her and Nick. So, Spectra was a new place for Bridge to fool around in.
Steam room to hide the shallowness.
Steam room with shoes:
the dirt is still around 😂
That's all Bridge was
They also messed up Deacon and Macy's life they loved each other
*The confusing life of B&B characters* - part 2. the Stephanie-Deacon relationship (and also kinda Stephanie's-Rick's relationship)
2000: In the past we had Stephanie supporting her step-son Rick at the time of the CJ-Amber-Rick triangle and that little Eric belongs with Rick.
2002: Stephanie emphasized that Deacon can't be in Brooke's and in his daughter's life, if Brooke's and Bridget's relationship should ever heal/get repaired....
2003, we still had Stephanie first on the "Rick, Amber, little Eric-team" and accompanying her husband Eric when he ran to Sally's office to try to stop the newlyweds Deacon and Macy from leaving with the boy and when Eric and Sally argued whose "grandson" the boy really is.
-> But then Stephanie's focus shifted - thanks to the 2% that Deacon now was enabled to vote - and Stephanie since then has changed her mind about Deacon, still honors today how he has stood by Stephanie and has voted with Stephanie, Eric and their kids to get control of FC back.
Today we have Stephanie being the one comforting Deacon and assuring him of his strength and his ability to do his best for his son.
I remember a poignant scene between Steph and Deacon, quite early on, when Deacon first arrived. She hugged him then. You just get the vibe that SF enjoys her scenes with SK.
Not the show foreshadowing a Bridget/Deacon pairing on the _day of his wife's death._ (If Sally had foreseen this development, she might have totally made up the whole "taking Macy off life support" thing only to prevent _Deacon_ from pulling the plug on Macy himself once he felt like having a new woman in his life, which judging by this episode is sort of already happening.)
Also, _not_ a steam room at Spectra.
Bridget and Deacon getting back to gather? Please no more
They could have at least shown the doctors telling Sally and Deacon and Sally that Macy isn’t walking up and them discussing it without showing Macy herself
@@orifeldman3213 I know, it's completely nonsensical the way this is written. Even if BE had already left, there would have been plenty of better ways to write this "death" (or whatever this is supposed to be). The fact that we don't even get to see Sally's reaction to having to make that decision, or anyone else's reaction to the news of Macy's death, but all of a sudden it's like it happened off screen, and everyone was told about it off screen, is just the worst writing choice they could possibly have made. It takes away _all_ the emotional payoff and leaves us feeling ch e at ed.
Its official the Marones were boring the gold medal yet goes to Oscar Ozzy... 😒
Always said Deacon and Macy were a good couple
Where’s CJ during all this?!
And Adam!! And Lorenzo!!
In Paris 😂
That’s exactly what I was thinking.
Where's _Sally_ during all this?
In real life, they wouldn't let Macy die so quickly. Miracles are happening
Watching boring and shallow Bridge is like watching paint dry! So many scenes to fast forward......😂
Exactly what I was doing can't stand her back in the early days. Even today 2025 she's just the same and Hopeless is following in her footsteps. Lol. 😂🤣😂
@@barryvincent8396I couldn't agree more! 😂👍
I don't care with who Ridge sleeps with it's a soap, but when somebody is boring it is Taylor when she and Ridge kiss they are like two fish kissing🤪
Same
@@brigittevandewassenberg1261ahhh was wondering where all the clowns were. Found one!!!!
It’s 2025. It’s time for a Brooke whose baby is it scandal and RJ is really NJ and Sheila switched the results. Where have we heard that before?
No one cares about RJ in 2025
@ but they could if they made him Nicks son instead and again Sheila switched the results 😂
@@Pete_Murphy_LoveI wish they’d bring Nick back with Jack
They could make a storyline around that .
They were Sheila’s eggs instead of Brookes 😂😂😂
@@-Lily7415 Looks like RJ is gone for good
@@kayschultz4113 The actor who played him wasn’t the right fit IMO
I don’t miss him on screen.
Stephanie telling Deacon he’ll find someone else to love. If she only knew. 😂
You mean Sheila 😮
Yes
*The confusing life of B&B characters* - part 1, the Bridget-Massimo relationship
In 2002 Massimo during the Rick-Ridge feud at FC used her brother Rick, while Massimo schemed to make her brother Ridge leave FC. Massimo then helped to protect Rick's and Bridget's future heritage (being the heirs of Brooke's 51% of shares) by helping to stop Ridge's scheme to vote Brooke's shares during her absence, when Massimo then soon later enabled Ridge to take control of Spectra Fashion and to try to run FC into the ground, while we had Massimo cohabiting with Eric's wife.
The end of 2002 and a part of 2003 - Massimo revealed Ridge's true paternity to Bridget and later pushed for a Bridget-Ridge relationship, ignoring that they had been raised as -father daughter- half-siblings.
Here we have Massimo Marone telling Oscar Marone how much Bridget means to Massimo and Massimo putting his arm around stating that he doesn't want Bridget mixed up in anything dangerous.
Massimo and Bridget in that scene look as if they kinda have a father-daughter relationship. 😉
Brooke looks so beautiful 😍
Brooke and Ridge are so incredible together ❤❤ Love RM and KKL together ❤❤ Heavenly 😘
Have you got an Instagram?
Amber and Rick call little Eric little Eric. Deacon calls him little D.
C.J should have called him E.J, when he wanted him, because it's so close to his own name.
He should be called ERic, that was his given name. Calling him little D would confuse him
@@annlavine3576no it wouldn’t. A child can have a nickname while knowing their own. Happens all the time.
where is episodes 2143-2371 ??? seasons 8 and 9 ??????????????
Bridge are irresistible ❤❤
Ridge resisted her pretty easily for a long time.
Brooke found Ridge's brother irresistible too. Not even 24 hours after Ridge had died.
Sounds like y ou’d like to join them 😉
And yet.
Brad finds KKL irresistible too.
Deacon looks so Furnace Creekish with that beard and that outfit.
