    I own the same scope. Very good and fun to use. Better than the hantek one.
    Mostly All measurements options in the software like Volts, Freq,Pulse Time, FFT, Etc...
    4 trigger methods including External Trigger.
    40V max input on 10x (Probes are 1x -10x)
    *Some features:*
    Usb Powered.
    Two probes (2 Input Channels)
    Advanced features like Frequency Error Check & Export Live Data to Csv Format.
    Bug free Software.
    Auxiliary Channel for Output/Input.
    Fast Display of waves in Software.
    I baught one for 80$ from Aliexpress.
    The Other 1022(I) Model is 400V Supported. You should buy that one of you want to do high voltage work.

    When I was contemplating on buying an oscilloscope I did consider getting one of those Hantek's. Granted, I spend 400 bucks, but I do have an oscilloscope that doesn't drive me crazy, 4 channels, with LAN and USB out, so I can still use it on my computer, and I love my knobs to change the settings. Quite a good review. It covers what I needed to know. I make theremins as a hobby and am playing with oscillators, and wanted to know if it can work in the khz range. It seems it does. if your are doing low frequency stuff a soundcard 'oscilloscope' (free bit of software) might work too, it is pretty much useless for anything higher frequency and not ideal, but hell it works for free if you already have a soundcard (or a 2$ crappy one lying around :D) ..... a usb oscilloscope is far better :P im thinking about buying one, thanks for the vide learnelectronics :)

  • @orcasea59

    How do you/can you isolate a USB scope that does not specifically offer isolation? I would be a little leery of connecting any scope to an expensive laptop without some kind of protection from ground loops, etc..

    • @learnelectronics
      @learnelectronics  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The USB port on laptops is pretty robust because manufacturers do not know what you may hook up to it. But still, I would be wary of using a USB scope on anything more than 12VDC home hobby type stuff.

      @@learnelectronics , thanks for the reply. I am A) just getting into exploring digital electronics (I'm an audio engineer - location sound mixer for film & video - but that's more knob-twirling, on-the-ground tech stuff, rather than engineering theory) and am contemplating a low-cost oscilloscope, but honestly all the intro-type videos I have found are amateurish and seem to assume that everyone already knows about triggering and when & where to adjust the scope to get the readings that are useful. A ground-up instructional video on those kinds of essential beginner details would be great!

    • @supercybercow5388
      @supercybercow5388 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The maximum frequency of this hobby scope is 20 Mhz not 200 Mhz, quite a difference (10 times in frequency and even more in sampling rate). It's a $60 scope so you would not expect to go this high and be accurate. Let alone speaking in Ghz - you are in range of $$$$ or even $$$$$+ budget for a scope, so possibly you must be really sure you know what you need it for. Analyzing such high frequency signals maybe you need another type of instrument cause there are many besides oscilloscopes, like spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, waveform analyzers, special protocol stuff etc. You could buy or build the so called prescaler for Ghz range, but nah, not with this one.

    • @walterpinto4161
      @walterpinto4161 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      it means that any dc voltage should be shown as a vertical displacement, if it have the ac coupling, then all dc voltage will be ignored by oscilloscope, those modes are both useful depending on the case

      UReasonIt The highest signal frequency I've had need to measure was +/- 200kHz. It was very clean @ that frequency. I think, for the money, this is a pretty decent scope. That being said, it has some weirdness with triggering. But I have found that if you let it auto trigger, then adjust from there it works well. The included probes are definitely One Hung Lo chinesium quality though.

    The program stopped working because of a problem. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution exists.
    I've tried it with all systems, and it always gives me the same error. I even have it installed on windows10, and I have configured it as windows7 and vista, and always the same error.

    I have same scope but I'm totally disappointed with it, and I can't tell is it more problem in Hardware or poor software. I try also several SW for PC and for Android, but no luck.
    Worst part of this scope is totally unreliable trigger for burst (1 shoot) applications, very hard to catch anything with it, it requires several attempts untll I catch signal, and when it catch it is usually missing part that I'm interested. For instance, time base 1ms, I'm trying to catch burst signal by trigger, and when it succeed (after 2-5 attempts), i have maybe 5ms of signal before trigger, and maybe 1 ms after trigger?? And I'm of course interested in part in area several ms after trigger, but this is missing, totally unreliable.
    I try to solve one problem on some equipment with this scope, after half an hour I give up, I just could not get what I need.
    For almost 10 years I used Welleman PCS500 scope and this was way better scope, even SW was much better although it was developed for win95, I sell it because I don't have any more PC with parallel port, which is needed for that scope, now I need to get some descent scope which can at least replace old Welleman. This is not the one.

    I really like this scope, but I think I could benefit from a more portable device. Do you have any recommendations that aren't too expensive? learnelectronics then we get to see entire signal
      can be fixed by connecting a capacitor in series

      I do not understand why would you connect capacitor in series - can you elaborate? Thanks.

      A capacitor will block DC voltages and allow only AC through

    I got some model of this but am always afraid I will overvoltage it. I also want to test my motorbike ht coil output which is several kv (20? 30? 40?) But no idea what probes to use so it dont blow the thing!

    The user interface looks very, very slow. I wonder if they've improved the s/w in the past four years.

    At 9:24 the display shows 997.5 Hz, and no KILOHERTZ, as you have said in the narration. Slip of the tongue??

    Mmmm I don't know man.. I'm not too convinced. Somehow my Hantek MSO5202D scope (200Mhz with 2 channels) (stand alone doesn't need a computer), seems a more complete package. Is also very cheap. In China is around 650 USD, but I live in Europe and the transport, taxes... made it almost 1100 USD. However is quite good. I wish I have bought a 4 channel independent scope (I can't stand the shared controls from 3 and 4 with 1 and 2.. is a fucking hateful experience).

    The HT6022BE driver on the Hantek website is unsigned and will not work on Windows 10.
    I found a signed driver that does work and I share it here:
