One of the greatest 80's songs, played it very often, I was a DJ back then. Didn't hear it for maybe 20 years. But me and some friends ar organising a revival party. We've made a FB-group to share all our favourite alternative music of that time and this song suddenly sprung to mind...
I remember seeing them live here in Germany. They supported The Alarm I think. I bought the album the next day and still have it. Still brilliant. What happened to them ? Anyone know?
I remember reading they were supposed to support Simple Minds in some big tour, but before it kicked off someone (might've been the singer) broke his leg and they were replaced.
I saw them support simple minds in the Glasgow barrowland and bought the album the next day, they were brilliant live, never understood why they never got the success of u2 or simple minds or big country
@beerbu - I can see what you're getting at but I think you are being a wee bit harsh. Still has something about it, I guess it has a big heart at it's core.
❤I Love this wonderful band!

I played in a band back then and we actually changed our name to Emotional Warfare because of that number.
after all these years it seems like yesterday
one of my most highly prized vinyl albums. a 'desert island' lp for sure - it never seems old or tired. not one bad song on it.
The vinyl is 45rpm and I accidently played it at 33rpm.. it became an instant vaporwave track. No joke
I have that album some were, I bought it after they supported simple minds 40 years ago in the sfx in Dublin.

Recently started gigging again... so well received they're currently recording new material. :)

Mike & The Mechanics are unrelated but if you came here you clicked a link from another video I posted a comment...
@elisalvador613 Totally agree there with you :))
It sounds like old Simple Minds.
Produced by Peter Walsh, who produced "New Gold Dream".
They were very much inspired by Simple Minds.
They also sound like the rare and obscure Canadian band, Chalk Circle. April Fool, perhaps a minor hit at best.
