Also that first Burial Chamber you found there were carrot seeds outside of it. Carrot Soup is a really great food to get your stamina pool higher. You need to make the Cultivator to plant them.
You sure picked the perfect weather for your first outing with the raft. Those storms may be scary as hell, but they are also freaking awesome. Huge Kudos for the devs for that. Always reminds me of that one scene from 13th warrior. As for your question about the metal bars, they cannot travel through portals. Anything metal resource related cannot go through a portal. Sadly you can not take ores or bars of metal through a portal. Also there was a bunch of blueberries you missed, you will need them for potions and food. The belt is the best thing to buy at the trader gives you 450 weight instead of 300.
Tip for the swamp if your struggling with stam regen. Mead gives 300% Stam regen for 10 seconds but reduces health regen by 50% for that 10 seconds. Also the Giant Trees you cant cut down if you walk around them close as you can you will see some of them give shelter so you can throw a fire down right there and sit down for 10 seconds to geta 10 minute rested buff to help stam regen. I died so much in the swamp it was a learning curve for me cause I didnt realise I was always wet and cold and there is no level ground really. So your always wading through half of a swamp hip deep. Watch for 1 and 2 star undead archers they hurt bad and damn dead eyes if you dont zig and zag.

I haven’t played much yet but loving the game and of course the Glock spin is awesome. One tip I’ve seen is to build a wall around your teleporter, the baddies will destroy it while you are gone and you won’t be able to teleport back again.
there are potions (mead) that is craftable of which a couple can increase stamina regen. However, making sure you have the rested buff also helps stamina regen. Being wet will reduce it.
Love your stuff, Glock! Don’t know if anyone has mentioned this or not, but you have to build a structure around that portal or it will be destroyed by graylings, greydwarfs and even animals. As soon as they see it they will attack it. We found out the hard way. I hope you have better luck than us. Also I’ve seen people mention you need a cauldron for better food, it’s made of tin. You will need a mead fermenter too. The meads will really help too.
For stamina, try to stay dry and rested and it will be much easier to manage to an extent. You don't need a workbench to make a fire, just 2x wood and 5x stones and you can build it anywhere. After that, just sit down aside of it and it will display the resting message as long as enemies aren't close. Comfort 1 is still 8 minutes of reduced stamina usage that you can repeat at will. Put it inside a small shed or a cave and you can get comfort 3-4 easily. If you're wet, it will make you dry super fast. Setting yourself on fire is even faster at the cost of a pretty small amount of hp. Being rested and dry are pretty important if you don't want to hate yourself too much.
Well done Glock. That character is looking cool. Google image search "viking helmet Ireland", here in Ireland there's this, (I think its in the Irish National History Museum), viking helmet like the one in this video, but with armour coming around the eye area. That's one great thing about European history. People are finding all kinds of things around. Western Europe you'd be digging up WW2 tanks from swamp mud and water. I took a boat ride in Germany's river Rine, a few months later they closed off a section of it because they found a WW2 allied bomber plane bomb, that could have wiped out I think a city block or something insane like that. 10,000 unexploded sea mines in Nordic European waters, still from world wars, according to one Nordic navy guy I talked to a few years ago.
No ores or smelted ingots can be portal traveled. All of it has to be boated back or made on the spot. Love the series Glock! Can't wait to see you in the swamps!
@@michaelsorensen7567 finished goods are fine but require significant advances on the forge and workbench to upgrade and craft. Some of those upgrades also require metal parts. You use Thistle for certain foods in the Caldron, resistance meads that you'll use for the Swamp, mountains, and the last boss in the plains (as it stands in the current build) Also do yourself a favor and make a Karve (next boat up from the raft) Its 100 times better than the raft, and it also has 4 slot inventory for storage makes it nice for bringing ore back to base, or bringing extra stuff with you for starting a new base
Great video! Just a game tip for valhiem. Protect your portals!!!!!!! Animals and beasts target your portals and benches. If not protect. They will break them!!!!! Cant wait for your next video!
Thistle is for both mead and sausage, and you need a large amount of em per craft. Gathering as much as u can is a good idea. Also yes, there are stamina potion(mead) that you can craft but it's not worth using unless you are fighting a strong enemy, however you can make use of the "Rested" buff, depending on how well you furnish your house, you will get a rested buff when you sit in your home long enough, during the buffed period, your health and stamina will regenerate faster, resting near a camp fire will also get you the same buff but it doesn't last as long. Building a portal next to a boss altar is a good idea, you can teleport straight from home with full buff to fight it with.
You've inspired me. Valheim was sitting on my to do list and I kept putting it off. But I love watching your series and didn't want to spoil anything so I'm now staying 1 step ahead of ya... Keep it up Glock!
Cut down trees you couldn't cut down before to get fine wood for a better bow, make sure you're upgrading your gear, eat gek tails with meat, and whatever else you have way more health and stamina. Keeping the well-rested buff and staying dry is key to keeping stamina up, cold and wet both severely reduce your stamina regen and well-rested of course makes it faster, the better your home the longer this buff will last, you can also build fires near places where you're "sheltered" and press the sit key to regain the buff.
The Raft is death... I like the Krave best due to it's ability to navigate through small channels more effectively than the big boat. The big boat has a bigger storage and is faster though so it is a trade off.
Both the krave and the longboat can outrun leaches even at their rowing speed. The raft CAN NOT outrun leaches or even some swimming enemies who WILL destroy your boat and leave you stranded / dead at sea.
I've since finished with Valheim and moved onto other games, but I like watching your unique approach to all the games that you play, that is what keeps me coming back.
"Man stamina sucks." Want DOUBLE stamina regen, 50% more hp regen and 50% faster skill gain? Just sit next to any fire for 20 seconds, at home, in the wild, even a campfire inside a crypt. Easy to get anywhere, any time you need it. Seriously the Rested buff is by far the best buff in the game. The Eikthyr buff only affects stamina used by running and jumping -- good for across the map, but not helpful for combat.
Frost resist potion at forst for frost biome(0r wolf armor) up to you. Or just keep building fires. And yes there is a stam potion, health pots, frost and poison resist, ect.Lots of better food too.Build a cauldron out of copper that'll open them u'enjoy
Dude holy shit, I love all your series! so i started valheim after watching your first video, playing your seed. I built a camp on the trader island in almost the same spot. There is a maypole to the south of the trader I haven't explored the entire of the island, its big with lots to explore. Also some swamps on the trader island as well. Craft some poison resistance potion first trust me.
hey glock, if you build a cauldron then you unlock new food recipes and and also potion base meads. you can use the potion meads in a fermenter and after awhile they will be done and you will have ready potion for use. both the fermenter and cauldron can be made at the current stage of the game. (tin and bronze)
Also if you want to get to the mountain biome you need to craft and frost resistance potion. Then once you get there you can kill wolves to get their pelt and craft a wolf hide cape. That protects you from the cold
You need 10 tin bars to make a cauldron and then your golden for potions and good food. I would recommend poisen potions for the swamp its rowdy in there its always wet and cold
Hey Glock! I'm pretty sure there was a swamp biome (the brown edge) just around where you built your boat to start sailing! Just a little north of that spot
Your vitality sucks because you don't get rested. Build a fire and sit down for 30 sec. You will get an 8 minutes buff. When I mine copper, I dig under it. That way I can put a bench to repair the pickaxe, I also make a fire to not be cold during the night and not get the cold debuff. And since the copper give better comfort, I get a better rested buff. I also build a fire when I enter a crypt to get dry.
