The only thing worse than going to war is going to a war over a lie. I have no problem being injured or even dying for my country if needed. But not for a lie. I’m a 100% medically retired Marine who served in Ramadi Iraq. Trust me!!! There’s no worse feeling!!!

@The Badguy I’m sure he means hard like as in the effort and dedication this project must have demanded .
The relentless combing through mountains of footage. Then deciding what to include so you get a smooth transition into each time stamps all while trying to focus on subjects that don’t jump around. And much much more that I can only imagine goes into it. But I’m sure it would be nothing for you. Gives me a headache just thinking about doing this.

@@crand20033 the US, middle eastern monarchies and Iraq had solid relations during the Iran-Iraq war primarily because Iran was the rival of said nations, the US sold Saddam a lot of weapons including chemical weapons, and the Arab monarchies also supported him with supplies, what made Saddam an enemy was the invasion of Kuwait, during which he also marched into northern Saudi Arabia and threatened to march further, which endangered the oil supply (that's in America's interest to defend), and what caused him to be overthrown and eventually killed is that he continued to make threats against the US and Israel after the first Gulf war, it's also not in the interests of the US to have such a powerful and rebellious leader in the Middle East, God forbid these oil-rich countries stop selling oil to America (like King Faisal of Saudi Arabia did in the 1970s which had a great impact on the west)

The world saw that Saddam invaded and tried to annex Kuwait and if he had nukes he would have gotten away with it. He wanted Israel to give back all the territory that they gained during the 1967 Middle East War. He wanted to Nuke Iran, even Saudi Arabia was his enemy and the USA too. He was against the US goal of preventing further (OPEC) momentum towards the euro as an oil transaction currency standard.
