THE MAKING OF A MOTORCADE THE STORY OF BATH MANDIR

Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, is one of the popular celebrations in Guyana. But what is the most anticipated part of this Festival of Lights, perhaps, is the Diwali motorcade- a signature event that brings communities together to create the colourful creations that wow hundreds of people. This year, the motorcade is making its return to Guyana after the two-year hiatus prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic and the first such event was held in West Coast of Berbice, Region Five on Sunday night. We take you to the community of Bath to show you some of the work that goes into making one of these floats, in a short span of time.
