What game were you watching? I can't say if AOC would've made a difference for certain, but the game I watched, WRs were open, Chargers defense was late on transition, and A/B gap started opening up after the first quarter. That same AOC lit that defense up with many of the same players last year. There were opportunities. The QB was trash. I can't blame Getsy either, there were opportunities.

He missed open throws to davante, and also the o line was giving him 2 seconds each snap to pass, and then maxx kept getting beat by a damn rookie
He was pressured a decent amount but when he did have time to throw he didn’t take advantage of it. He needed to take some deep shots to make the defense think. He looked nervous and dead in the eyes

Playing with AOC makes it more difficult for defenses because he can send a very long pass, but with Gardner M. they know he doesn't have the arm to throw deep passes and makes it easier for the defense to stop plays.

The counter to scrambling ability is to know where your outlet receivers are, or throw the ball away when pressured. Aidan was good at that last year. Aidan didn't really take that many sacks last year, which is impressive being a rookie, and the opposing defense is naturally going to bring pressure a lot at a rookie. I saw Jimmy G (veteran) take 7 sacks in one game last year. Aidan will get better at that as he learns and gets experience.

I would normally agree with you. The buck stops at the head coach. But I really think that AP is in a precarious position. I really think that Telesco is making some of the major decisions, like who the starting QB is, with the blessing of the owner of course.

Aiden would've been sacked 10 times yesterday. The oline wasn't performing. But i think since the line has very few reps together mishew gonna ball out once they figure it out. Minshew extended plays multiple times where aiden wouldnt.

To say that Raiders fans calling out AP simply don't know anything about football is a lazy take. It was the first time since 2016 that a coach punted the ball on 4th and 1 down one score while in the opposing teams territory. There is a reason no other coach has done that in 8 years, because you simply don't punt there.
Even if your offense has been bad, it sends a horrible message in week 1 that he doesn't trust them to go win a game when they need to. They still have to go score regardless. That wasn't smart coaching, that was scared coaching.
And also to go for it at the raiders I think it was the 30 or 25 in the first quarter and then not get it it was almost like that was when it seemed like the coaches got so much more conservative I almost think it's not the fans and players that put too much hope.into AP it's been AP who has in himself I think he's getting a dose of reality

Our offensive line is a problem. Minshew didn’t play that bad, we just weren’t able to sustain any drives. Deablo gave up huge plays playing our position for large runs on defense, our playmakers in the secondary have to make plays when the balls are thrown to them. Moering make the play!

After watching the raiders for over 20 years this is just par for the course. It doesn’t surprise me that we lost because we always lose the home opener in LA to start the season. That’s why I don’t care to watch the games or get my hopes up. I’m just so used to it and we are in a worse place than we were 4 years ago.

QB is not the most urgent concern, the most urgent concern is the play calling for the offense! It seems Luke Getsy has no idea what type of players he has! The play calling was not geared to help Minshew, it was horrible! The players in the offensive side are not comfortable with the calls, they do not believe in his plan!

He shouldn't have been starting in the first place. Let the kid play if he plays bad, then bring in the veteran backup, not the other way around.
Change takes time to adapt to. With a new OC, new starting QB, new pieces on the OL and new targets, this offense is going to take six weeks to gel and find it's rhythm... and that's best case scenario. Based on what we saw yesterday, I wish we kept our OC from the end of last season and started AOC. He already has chemistry with his teammates and would have a really good understanding of the prior offense.
I knew raiders were going to have an issue at QB when they never picked up a good QB. Well o-line is a different story.
As a 49ers fan, we have a bad o-line but a smart QB that’s very confident. I truly believe raiders are a QB away from winning many games this season. Good luck to you guys

Ive said it every single year for the past, idk....12 years now? It seems like its a pre requisite for whoever our play caller is to only call 3-5 yard passes. With the occasional 15 yard....and the rare 20+ play. Its almost like they interview them with the scenario of "its 3rd and 13....you got Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers, Brock Bowers, Tre Tucker and Michael Mayer...what do you do?" then they answer by saying "oh, 100% throw it 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage on a shitty screen play and get about 5 yards total"
I dont understand it, I will never understand it. Why choose Gardner Minshew with one reason being "because he averaged more deep passes then AOC"....and never throw it further than 15 yards 1 time?
Last year AOC played the chargers twice. First one came down to the final drive of the game 2nd one set the franchise record for points scored in a game. AOC should’ve got the start to begin with

Davante and Miller not getting enough snaps showed. We should be working on chemistry week 1. Harbaugh out coached us. He made adjustments that made an impact and changed the game. We got scared and abandoned the run. All and all, they are who we thought they are!

With gardner at qb, there's no point on having weapons . He hardly uses them . Aoc at least pushes the ball deep. Chargers gameplan was to play 2 safeties the whole game because they knew gardner couldn't push the ball past 30 yards . Even with that bad protection, they had opportunities to hit on some open looks .
