That's right! I'm still doing this series! After my last video taking a look at a large scale teamwork based multiplayer WWII shooter featuring multicrewed tanks, I am now switching it up by taking a look at a large scale teamwork based multiplayer WWII shooter featuring multicrewed tanks! Small correction, when talking about the Panzer II G, I showed a pic of a Panzer I C, which are tanks I had mixed up visually for awhile but now have seen the light. Also I've been told that frag grenades cannot do damage to tanks in HLL, so I suppose I got some very lucky timing with my frag.

As a hell let loose player im 99% sure you cant blow a tank up with a grenade, it probably had a satchel charge on it considering it was close to friendlies
I’ve since been told that was the case, just a satchel charge and some crazy timing!
@@eta320I can confirm that it is impossible to blow up tanks with fraggranates, there was one time I and a friend of mine encountered an M5 and we threw like 4 granates right under the tank, most under the engine bay and it took no damage at all

You can see a line going thru the tank just after your grenade explodes.
Yeah HLL anti tank main, it's absolutely impossible to blow up tanks ingame with hand grandes. You should never ever throw hand grenades at tanks in HLL as you will kill any anti tank unit that tries to satchel it.
You can set up the old 1911Tom Hanks shot the tiger 1 and it exploded scene with a well counted satchel

Fun fact: while it does not have pistol ports, Company of Heroes two does have a few tanks
where the crews use either grenades (Pershing, Comet) or machine guns firing from hatches (Churchill) to defend themselves.
I hope Gates of H*ll: Östfront gets something like that soon.
In bf1 in the Russain tank you can see a hatch open and someone inside the tank throws grenades out the tank

The Cromwell in Hell Let Loose appears to be directly copied from the Cromwell at the Bovington Tank Museum, Both have serial number 190003, both have the Polish armoured emblem, both are Squadron A of the HQ Company and both have the Blue/Green 45. the green on it is way darker than in real life though, and the colouration on the decals is way brighter than it is IRL as well.
I’m a HLL player and while the tanking isn’t super realistic getting into a steel box with 2 guys you don’t know and having to depend on them and develop teamwork to even move the tank where it needs to go and look in the right directions creates some of the most fun and intense gameplay experiences I’ve ever had in an fps
Absolutely I love the tanking in this game may not be realistic but crewing a tank with multiple people instead of the 1 man thing used in battlefield is pretty awesome

I think the persicope view instead of being unbuttoned up may be a persicope binoculars thingy, which is not nessecary a part of any tank, but can be just put up through an open hatch and rotated as much as you can rotate around in your seat.

Two very minor corrections that are more pet peeves of mine than mistakes, but In terms of Pz.IV G & H, schürzen isn't a very reliable way to differentiate them since Ausf.G was often retrofitted with them as well. Instead the most notable external differences would be whether the upper front plate has applique armour (G), or is one piece (H), and if it has side vision ports for the crew in the hull.
And less importantly Tiger was only briefly called Ausf H or H1, from late '42 to March of '43 and all Tigers we're retroactively designated Ausf.E, so you're correct but I'm just irrationally bothered when people call any Tiger with the drum cupola an H1, similar to the Pz.IV F2/frühes G debate if you're familiar.

I have no idea if you'd be able to find a server to play on, but if you could somehow locate a living Red Orchestra 2 server with tanks that would make another great tank enthusiast reacts episode. This one was a fun video in any case!
I love this game. The tutorial and the missions like that on Gumrak airfield were epic!! VERY nicely balanced and detailed vehicles, felt really close to being inside those steel beasts

You didn’t destroy the tank with the frag grenade in the first clip. It’s not possible in hell let loose to even damage a tank with frags I’m pretty sure.
If you watch the clip on 0.25 you clearly see the flash of munitions striking the tank.

hey eta, in the very first clip it looks like you threw the frag and then either a satchel or a rocket hit the tank causing it to detonate afterwards, you can see the time delay in between the grenade exploding and the actual explosion of the tank, which would be odd because the tank will almost simultaneously explode at the same time the satchel explodes or the rocket makes contact.
Dude I don't know if you ever have been here but somewhere in the east United States there is a driving experience where you can drive a Sherman and a T-34. There is also one in Florida where you can drive a FV433 Abbott.

I think a video on steel fury 1942 would be amazing, the STA mod (that adds all the good stuff, like shermans, bts, tigers, etc.) is bery hard to get, but the base game is still very good

The reason why German Tank Commanders left the hatch open is for better visibility and usually, they were starting engagements well outside the Russian range of effective fire.
"But, but, but....Artillery!" people always whine.
The percentage of you dying from artillery shrapnel at times is far less then dying because you could not see the enemy Tank, Anti Tank crews, and bad patches of terrain that will get you stuck in the shit,
Being a tank commander is all about trying to see the enemy first and getting the first shot off before he see you. I was a real tank commander in a Heavy CAV unit, back in the day.

I have been studying warfare, especially armored warfare since I got my first library card and a ride in the turret of a beat up M-48. Its addictive because it is a forever evolving weapon system that has a ton of technical history. I have been looking for a decent reviewer about things like this.

You think one day you could look at the tanks of SQUAD? I know they are modern tanks but I think they are pretty nice models and realistic.
I actually think of T-70 when i come across the subject of Russian light tanks because i played a bunch of CoH2 and when i play as Russians there, i like using T-70 for ambushing enemy infantry transport vehicles and supply truck and whatnot. (Idk if it is a good tactic but i find it fun, and in the end, that's all that matters)
Also speaking about coh2, it would be cool if you take a look at company of heroes and it's tanks.
The T-70 is mainly good against infantry because it has a good AOE for such a small gun, and as recon. (over 60 sight in recon mode once at vet 3)
It's alright against vehicles but it has only 40 damage, and relatively low pen, so while its high rof means it will still kill galftracks etc it sucks against everything heavier.
In that first clip you did not in fact destroy the Panzer 4 with a frag, he got hit woth some other form of AT, probably a satchel charge considering friendly infantry ran up to him earlier.
as a squad player the idea of a crewman having to be unlocked is insane

For the tank commander, you need to get to level 3 to be able to use the “mechanic” role, im pretty sure its the same as the tank crew-member aswell
I think the reason for that is to encourage cooperation between infantry and tanks, because the engineer has it right off the bat as far as I’m aware
@@iwantmynametobeaslongaspos7194 yes, the engineer does. And thats the good thing, so people have to actually work together in the game. Whenever i play engineer i go check up on tanks because its called being helpful

Look into the balance change history for the M1 Garand in HLL. The devs would almost certainly appreciate your input directly to them.

I'd say that Tank Warfare is made much better in Post Scriptum. That's why I'm playing more often Post Scriptum than HLL with my friends, 'cause we're mostly playing on tanks. And I'm feeling much better in Post Scriptum as a Tank Commander. I just have more ways to "move" in some sort of way in tanks.

As an avid Hell Let Loose player, my friends and I do get bothered by the inaccuracies of the tanks, particularly the "balance" of putting certain tanks in light/medium/heavy categories, but that being said I understand why they did it and that they unfortunately probably wont change it anytime soon.

Hell Let Loose more focus on the gameplay and beginner friendly, while Post Scriptum focus more on Realism, both have their up and down it's up the player which one is more enjoyable, personally I prefer PS but sadly the game is on an edge of dying so I might play HLL in the future

The reason the commander's view port is different from the periscope in some tanks, is that the devs placed all the view ports accurately, but the periscope itself is a fixed placeholder, it does not move around with the turret.
cool video, but first clip was definitly not the nade, explosion was delayed and engineer was near tank before that so he 99% put a satchel on back

I smell a part 2!
You got several things wrong there my boy. One, for example, is in HLL grenades do not kill tanks. In your clip there you just coincidentally threw a frag grenade when either another tank or an AT killed the same tank. It was NOT you. So.... wrong there. And a second issue is regarding the loadout / repair kit issue. It wasn't an issue of you not having the experience required to "unlock" a repair kit, it was that you were the "Tank Commander." TC do not have repair kits in HLL. It is known that the driver or gunner (called "Tank Crew" in HLL) do come with the repair kit and thus they are the ones who should repair. Tank Commanders come with a machine gun, Thompson for Allies and MP-40 for Axis, whereas Tank Crew members carry only a pistol or revolver -- depending on the army team.
Thanks for the corrections! I hadn't played HLL before so I wasnt totally familiar with the mechanics, I got a LOT of comments about the grenade thing. I didnt mean it as a "wow look at this game so silly you can kill tanks with grenades" I just figured I got lucky and the tank had like 1hp left and my grenade did the final chip. But yeah I know now that grenades dont damage tanks.
There are also reconesans vechicle for all nations i think brits get tetrach germans get puma and i dont remember what russian get but recon tank get spotting capabilty if you ask your comander for a recon he will porbabli get you one pretty fast since they are not expensive to spawn in
Oh and i think differn maps have diffrent takns but i have only like 200h so i dont really know if some hll tanker could confirm or deny i would appriciate
Tanks in HLL are (almost) the same in every tank class (light medium heavy). There is no asymmetry and that's so annoying.
Panther isn’t a heavy tank on paper and doctrine, otherwise it would be considered a heavy
