While we do the Story Point estimation, one should always consider risk/uncertainities as well, along with other factors I mentioned. This takes into account our evaluation of factors like getting the dependencies in time or data we need. So, it is critical those are factored in. Having said that, it does not mean the story will get picked up during Sprint Planning. The uncertainity is addressed before it can be picked. Also, uncertainity does not mean the story is not groomed. It is a fully clarified story, and the team is aware that there are unknowns. If the story is not clear - then it cannot be estimated.

The story shouldn't even be considered for estimation with that kind uncertainty!
