The crack at the back of the phone might be because of the battery expanding. Since it's right under the motherboard if it expands more it can break the motherboard.
By the way, the back is cracked down the middle because of an expanding battery! Its under the motherboard, so if you dont want to have any damage on the board in the future, I'd reccomend changing it. :)
I love how clean the iPhone 3G looks even if it's laggy as hell on 4.2.1. Was my first iPhone in 2018 too. I would play a Tic Tacs app and a Bubble Wrap game too.
@@Asteriskwaschosen i have a 3GS (the one in the video is a 3G) and it works fine! i have yet to connect it to my network as it's locked to AT&T but i'm on Freedom Mobile in canada! it fully works fine on iOS 6 but offically can be downgraded back to iOS 4.2!!
It's interesting for me to notice that in the first iOS versions, Apple already made the borders of the options in Settings rounded, then they expanded them to fit the width and decided to make them rounded again in iOS 15.
I noticed the absence of the video capture too! By the way, I searched the serial number on Apple's website and it is indeed an iPhone 3G. (bought: July 2008)

The Earth photo on the iPhone 3GS is definitely old-school. I’ve had every iPhone since day one. And that earth photo/wallpaper was the very first thing on the very first iPhone. When you got the very first iPhone and you turned it on that’s what you saw.so of course it was going to be on the 3GS. i recently got an iphone 3gs from bulgaria and it had a lot of things and its also one of the oldest 3gses from bulgaria, now i have it on ios 4.1 but it died since the battery no longer charges
I switched to Verizon for the Motorola Krazr. It was a slimmer version of the Razr with a glass clamshell screen. Anyone remember that phone? This was about 16 years ago. I loved that little phone, it was red, it flipped out with a satisfying snap, easier to get your thumb into it than the Razr. It fit in my female pockets no matter how small and useless they were. I remember once I was in a meeting and I dropped it, RIGHT EXACTLY when someone was adjusting their chair and it was under the leg of the chair, happened in a split second, dropped, adjusted chair and came down and crunched tf out of my phone. I was so mad, but really it was an accident…so I had no reason to be mad at the person. It was one of the times I had a protection plan and got it replaced. Yeah, basically completely unrelated to this video besides it was a relation to the Razr.
That iPhone is an iPhone 8 and product red and if I had to guess it’s probably a 64 GB I had an iPhone 3GS like the one you show the video. The only other question is why was there a black section in the video from the time you turned the 3GS on until we shove it on?

I have an old iphone 5 and it wont turn on. I mean it does turn on but it wont allow it to get reset and updated, its stuck and its not a broken phone its perfect but the firmware they have had on it last time it wont allow it to turn on even with itunes, etc... I just cant get it to turn on completely.

The iPhone you picked up at 0:49 could either be the SE 2nd generation or 3rd. I say this since both look way too similar.
