- 1985 Star Basketball offers collector's and investors of basketball cards two Michael Jordan cards and a variety of other NBA legends that can be had for almost nothing. The 1985 Star Crunch N' Munch set might just be the rarest of all the Star Basketball sets and offers a Michael Jordan. Combine the term rare and Michael Jordan and watch out! While the Air Jordan card from this set is expensive, the rest of the cards can be had at relatively cheap prices.
Next up is my favorite basketball card set in existence. The 1985 Star Gatorade Slam Dunk Set combines a few iconic things from my childhood that will always tug at my heart. First, we have Michael Jordan's first Slam Dunk contest (and we all know what happens next) combined with one of his major endorsements, Gatorade, and the ever-lasting "I wanna be like Mike!" song. Put those on a piece of cardboard and boom, we have ourselves an epic combination on one basketball card.

This set was produced for 1985 All-Star Game, hence, the Jordan can still be considered as rookie year card
I just let folks know your new vid is up. Thanks for the shout out - you da man! Also love the Gatorade set as well... and yes for me it is the green lol (the red and green color contrast always caught my eye). But your right Gatorade, MJ and Slam dunk were the dreams of us kids. Even to where we were jumping off boxes and dunking in the lowered hoops in the driveway!

I have learned more about the Star Basketball cards than I ever wanted to, ha. I almost want the Bruins to do well just so you will make hockey card content again.
I don’t own a single hockey card anymore. I haven’t watched the bruins all year. Maybe I will end my boycott this year.
Awesome video These are really great videos because people that are getting into the early 80s star cards are able to really get knowledge and understanding because there's a lot of confusion when it comes to these cards! Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos and I think videos going over each subset or insert from 8384 and 85 86 it would all be extremely valuable to us in the hobby as I'm trying to learn and I'm interested in Jordan cards I mean who isn't? But honestly they're extremely expensive and I Don't Mind Investing in Hakeem olajuans Charles Barkley John Stockton etc etc (sorry I use voice to text so doesn't always translate perfectly)
