- Sometime really tuff expeditions, hunting Ibex in Central Asia is the best value for sportsman who like fair chase hunting in remote mountains. All videos taken during the last seasons. It's show there is still some huge ibex in Central Asia. All hunts guided and filmed by Renaud Desgrees du Lou except the first hunt guided by Attemane Slimane.

Hi there,
I mistakenly replied about the Red deer roar, so here it goes for SAMBAR roar.
We have hunted sambar many time and i could say that we have never hard one roar while we have been looking at them.
All the places we have Sambar in, contains a good number of Red too, so as i mentioned it is hard to say if a sound we heard was Red or Sambar.
They sure bark like Red deer but much more stronger, but roar?? we have not being able to say what we heard was a roar.
They rob their teeth together like grinding but it is hard to say how far it can be heard.
Perhaps other viewers and shed a light on this subject.
Thanks Tony. It is why i was thinking. But can we hunt them in attractive them with a female roar or some kind of sound ? Or you hunt Sambar only by stalking or waiting ?
They are as intelligent as Rusa deer and a wrong sound or movement spoke them very quickly.
Breaking a twig can get them closer, but in all, stalk very slow and movement of slow-motion.
Try the sound of a female and see what happens, it could work.
An old timer told us that their roar is a very high pitch sound like a SIRON of a police or ambulance, which make sense, very much like the first part of the roar of a Rusa.
But we know for sure if they spoke and run, a very load Sambar bark will stop them in their track, and you have 3 to 5 second to take a shot.
All the best for you hunt, we have 4 or 5 of Sambar hunts and 30 or so of Rusa hunts in our videos, have a look at few of the it could be of help.

@@seladang if you can come to pakistan in gilgit baltisatn shandur national national park the Karakurum mountain you can hunt easly.
An old hunting rule was one shot per animal, too easy with super zoom and limitless shots no chance for the beautiful beast, unfair win for you mate, you got local guides and bag carriers ,cameraman, and probably you left the body to rotten on the mountain, u like to win easy. I’m not against people who hunt following regulations because the enjoy to eat game but I can’t respect people that kill anything just for sport and fun

unnecessary climb so high in so cold part of year. You can also hunt them in august much more easy. was 3 times in ibex hunt.
I had been more 50 times hunting ibex in central Asia since 1987 when i organized my first trip in Central Asia. It was Kirghizia and a part of USSR.
But you are right, hunting in summer or early autumn is more enjoyable. Anyway when you are professional hunter you have hunters who are not always free in summer. And my job is to assist them to shoot there ibex.

My best hobby is to hunting ...
Only time people are documenting wild life of Pakistan when they are killing them as hobby I did not knew or ever imagine Pakistan has such a verity of wild animals Our elders told us we use to have spotted hyenas in our area Jhelum but extinct now still some exists in Kashmir but may be not for long
It is our useless wild life department job to show people of Pakistan then rest of world that what kind of animals Pakistan have and also educate people behaviour of these animals. these animals lived with us thousands of years and we don’t know they exist in Pakistan or if people do know them they depend on west to tell us their role in nature or behaviour for example pangolins (ant eater) locals think it’s grave digger and eats dead human been and truth is it only can eat insects mostly ants basically it keeps ant population in control
Other animals we have in Pakistan such as rock python 30 feet long monitor lizard Komodo dragon panther bare fishing snakes countless lizards and snakes probably only exists in Pakistan
there not SPOTTED Hyaena in Pakistan but possibly STRIPED hyaena and no one Komodo Lezard maybe monitor ... So please for professional of wildlife like true hunters (not poachers), as we can help you to know about your wildlife. Trophy hunting is the best for conservation giving value to wildlife helping to protect rare animals.
