Just Incase If Nobody Understood What The News reporter Said (Or Atleast, Along Those Lines) : Hello Ladies & Gentlemen, This is ------- ------, Yesterday On The 6th Of March ----, There Was A Crash Relating With The North Western Railway Number 5, James The Red Splendid Engine. According To The Rescue Captain, Had Previously Taken Some Water At Tidmouth Before Leaving For This Final Trip Of The Day, As Investigators Checked, It Seems To Be That Oil Had Been Added With The Water Already Within The Water Fountain..Which According To Be The Later On Hired Inspectors..That It Was Added 2 Hours Before James & His Crew Had Arrived Back At Tidmouth. During The run, the engine's brakes would not work. the brakes caught on fire, even if they were made of metal. The train went faster and faster, and reached over a speed of 129 MPH. Witnesses nearby took photos. A Shunter Locomotive, Pushing Fuel Tankers, was set on the same track as the "Runaway Hell" Then, Disaster struck. The Locomotive exploded and derailed. the cars behind it were crushed and set on fire. Then, Everything Stopped. out of all 370 Passengers onboard, only one survived.

James was with task of taking a passenger train from Maron to Knapford. During the way, The red engine felt something he burst in flames. He didn't stop until he crashed into some tankers that Rosie had arranged for Class 40's train. A statue of the NWR's Number 5 was held up at Tidmouth Station that "Rest In Peace, James The Splendid Red Engine."
But unknown to us, The society at Vicarstown known as the (Information Classified) had contaimed the water using oil.
poor James he really didn't deserve to die in such a freak accident nor get filled with oily water causing himself to catch fire
Daaaaaaaaaaaamn, stuff got dark! The crash scene was epic, not only because of the intense but also the way James went through the tankers and how the coaches derailed! Nice job everyone!

Alt Au: Rosie was carrying Milk instead of Oil, Sparing James’ life and also saving him from burning up, he now has a scar on his cheek to symbolize the fire that happen and Nightmares scare him to death of him crashing into Tar wagons instead of the milk tankers.
Like I mean In an au where James survived the explosion and saw what was going on at the time.

The way i see it- that despite being real close as you say (which is true) atleast any derailment or any possibly any type of actual damage was already all taken by the oil tankers + brakevan since it was all infront of her- so she if anything probably just have alot burnt marks and scratches here and there due to the flying debris (but yeah i dont blame you- it does seem odd)-

I have to say I am pretty shocked I’ve never heard James’s whistle sound like that when he was on fire even though it’s super scary and extremely painful for an engine to be on fire especially someone as loyal and very nice and sometimes grumpy because of trucks but James the number five red engine is still a really useful engine that is what sir toppon hat says
Rosie should have gone on the other rails with the tankers, but except she was on james' track and then he crashed into them, leaving rosie tankerless. :-(
