This is the reason why Tacloban is not getting that much relief beause Pnoy hates the Romualdezes of Tacloban who is associated to Marcos which I know you cant take away the anger towards them but why include the innocent people between your feud and its so shameful that your wasting your time on getting interviews onoy just to boost your morale instead of helping out. They repacked the international relief and change it with their name. So disappointing and disgusting!! No conscience! I love the philippines but hate the government!!

i agree po dun sa sinabi ng ibang comments dito na hindi na TAKE SERIOUSLY, at hindi na APPRECIATE ng leaders ng TACLOBAN ang SEVERITY ng WARNING na Signal No 4 / 5 na MONSTER SUPER TYPHOON pa nga ang pagkaka balita. Kahit po ako nabasa ko ang mga warning na yon ay worried agad ang initial reaction ko at gaano kaya kalakas ang bagyo na yan? Pero naisip ko rin na sa dami na ng bagyo na dumaan sa pilipinas ay parang madaling isipin na mas grabe lang ng kaunti sa sa mga nagdaan bagyo itong Yolanda na ito. Yan po marahil ang nasa isip ng LEADERSHIP ng TACLOBAN. "COMPLACENCY" po ang umiral. Hindi po excuse ang sabihin na ginagamit na lahat ng resources para sa relief... ang pinag uusapan po ay ang RESPONSE sa STORM WARNING. Kulang po ang preparation nila. Naging inutil tuloy ang Immediate Relief effort sana nila... Baka po meron mas magaling na kandidato dyan sa lugar ng Tacloban, pag isip isipan na sana ng mga taga roon...
i will not join the blaming game here...as far as i am concern all national and local leaderships are guilty of complacency, unpreparedness, and stupidity which has cost lives and broken hearts in tacloban, leyte and areas in samar...
So when the dust settles... when the victims ( stop getting traumatize and victimize over and over by our gov't ) gets what they so RIGHTFULLY DESERVE *( food, clean water, sanitation, good environment, permanent shelter, source of income, physical/emotional/mental/spiritual help )*... HARD QUESTIONS need answers... WE all OWE it to those that perished before us.. To HONOR THEM.... Let their DEATHS serve as a reminder.. HEAL BUT NEVER FORGET.
Based on international news, the mayor of Tacloban clearly did everything they can as a local government unit before the typhoon and the aftermath. The city's resources have been used, all efforts to cater the needs of the survivors have been given and in that case, day 1-2 after the typhoon hit the place, the central government should have entered, but where were they? A typhoon as strong as Haiyan cannot be depended to the force of local government which has limited capacity. In Japan, after the tsunami hit 2 years ago, day 1-2 the defense ministry sent battalions of military personnel to recover the dead bodies and help the survivors so in day 3-5 no bodies left. It was clear back then that in Japan, it was mainly the national government who acted. In the case of the Philippines, it is clear how the national government responded because at day 5, same bodies were in same place. What is wrong with your president? Is he still mentally capable?
Wag nang magsisihan. hindi lang talaga seneryoso ang bAgyo kc sa dinami-dami nang bagyong dumaan sa pinas eh parang na immune na so parang teni take for granted nalang yung yolanda nkhanda naman ang local at national govn't kya lang hindi malinaw kung anu tlaga ang storm surge. Kya kompyansa ang mga tao kung naipaliwanag lang nang maayos ang storm surge cgurado less yung buhay na nawala. -opinyun ku lang :)
sana kung nilikas nila ang mga tao ng tacloban malayo sa dagat e yun iba evacuation site nila malapit rin sa dagat. saka ang tacloban halos pantay lang ang libel ng dagat at lupa. signal 4 grabe ang lakas kaya nun nakita ko sa news ng CNN isang o dalawang araw before tumama ang bagyo sa Pilipinas binanggit sa CNN weather forecasts na malakas ang bagyo at may storm surge at unang tatama sa tacloban...pero ano ba talaga ginawa ni mayor?! ang mga taong nakatira ba sa tabing dagat na force evacuate nya ba lahat?! saka di ba inisip ni mayor sila unang tamaan ng bagyo kung una silang tamaan siguradong malakas ang tama kasi galing pacific ocean ang bagyo may malakas na hangin at dalang tubig yun boom sa tacloban.sana kung napaghandaan ng lgu d sana dadami casualty...kung sana may concern na sila kasi lagi silang tinatamaan ng bagyo dba anticipate the worse. ika nga boy scouts laging handa!dto sa tibiao antique 2days b4 dumating ang bagyo force evacuation na kung ayaw sumama posasan sabi ng mayor timaan din ng mata ng bagyo pero zero casualty pero daming wasak na bahay...

I think that Mayor Romualdez is partly to blame for failing to prepare the people of Tacloban, but he's not the only one who failed. His main failure, in my opinion, is in the aftermath when he should have provided muchneeded leadership in helping his people. Ted Failon knew right away that there would be looting and other law and order problems and that the dead bodies needed to be gathered as much as possible, so surely a mayor knew that, too, and yet he didn't do anything. The food supply in the stores could have lasted at least a day if divided properly among the survivors, but the looting caused the food, water and other necessities to end up in the hands of just a fraction of those who survived, and many of those looters are now trying to sell those items. No such thing as bayanihan for such people.
PAG ASA should've explained very well in layman's term kung ano yang 'Storm Surge'. Kasi khit ung batikang reporter ng AbsCbn na c Ted Failon di alam kung anu tlga ibig sabihin nun til he himself experienced the supertyphoon that hit Tacloban. Kaya huwag na mghugas -kamay c Pnoy at i-blame pa sa LGU ang kakulangan nila. Lack of knowlege and improper information dissemination ang nakikuta kong problema sa lahat ng sekta ng PNoy Gov't!

Silly for anyone to think Tacloban is not getting enough help due to a feud between the Romualdezes and Pinoy . Pinoy presence in Tacloban is not politicking for he is a one time president with a 6 year term in office. Sad to say but the Romualdezes were really caught unprepared as even in their own household , it can be seen . Look at the vast hall shown in the video , it can be used as temporary shelter of the sick ,the orphans who are homeless. Or , can even be a warehouse/ distribution center for relief goods. Compare the preparation done in the Bicol region against that of Tacloban . Had Romualdez made a request from DSWD prior to the arrival of the storm , he could have had at least a handfull of relief goods to augment the needs of the populace . Also , on security , he should have asked the help of the military if he thinks his police force will not be enough to provide enough security for his people .Truly , no washing of the hands this time but learn from the experience and AMININ!
This time politics and finger pointing has no place , thats the reason Pinoy chose to go to Tacloban instead of staying in the comfort zone of nearby provinces also hit by yolandas storm surge .

Eto Lang masasabi ko. Partly the Mayor did not do his job. It looks like he didn't understand the severity of what a Signal 4 is. Ang mga expert ng weather naman sa Pagasa, bakit di Sinabi ang force evacuation lahat malapit sa dagat. Looks like everyone, the local govt at national, weather men sa Tv, they all didn't take the storm seriously. Kasi naman? Day before, naka focus Kay Napoles. Hay buhay ng Pinoy- ganyan talaga nangyayari- Kung konti Lang mga politicians na concern sa mga Tao sakop nila.lahat may pagkukulang. And the Pres should stop blaming pipol. It's does help him, it just he's not a good leader at all. Can't wait for his term to be over! I give him F for his handling of this problem- his sister Kris Aquino could have been more aggressive in her decisions to send the Military right away after the storm. Kahit Maarte!
Siempre may problema at naririnig ni PNOy ang daing ng tao ikaw ba ang nasalanta so nagalit siya, pero di naman tayo napabayaan dahil nag inspection siya ikumpara mo naman sa ibang naging Presidente. At isa pa malakas na Storm to kaya NABIGLA lahat. Makaraos tayo dahil sa tulong din ng Diyos at ng ibang bansa.

...mayor, ikaw ang core ng bayan, atleast man sana may ginawa k. Warnings are there, qng d man napaliwanag ng pag-asa, atleast ikaw ang nagpaliwanag s mga kababayan mo. Un ang responaibilidad mo eh. Kumbaga ikw ang caretaker, kea hindi noon rin masisi ang pangulo qng somewhat, sisihihan nia keu for lack of preparedness. Because, proven nmn as governor salceda says, dapt isapuso kc. Hindi lng utak at pera ang paganahin. Dpat puso din. Ung ibang bayan, nkaprepared n xla 2days prior to the landfall n. So atleast, d man zero casualty, at least lesser..

Tama naman ang Pangulo kasi may mga warnings na na pinakamalakas na bagyo ang darating. Pero ano ang inihanda ? Kahit pa biktima rin ang Mayor , dapat may nakahanda na para sa mga tao. Kaya nga may Governors, Mayors , V-Mayors, Baranggay Kapt. eh di ba ? Anong silbi nila kung Pangulo rin pala ang gagawa sa trabaho nila.? Lagi na lang silang may excuse at hindi yata sila mauubusan ng excuse ! Ki walang ganito, ki kulang ang pundo ki, ginawa na ang lahat ! Ano yong lahat na ginawa mo?
Come on. Why just dont focus on helping the people of tacloban and the other victims of visayas. Instead of blaming the local government of not being ready.
I have a question, what if President Aquino is in Tacloban the time when typhoon Yolanda came to Philippines. And he experience the same thing that the people of Tacloban experienced. Who is he going to blame?
may i asked the president what do u think the preparation the LGU should do?when they are all victims! they didnt expect the tragedy yolanda brought its a storm surge like a tsunami first time happened in the philippines...the truth government failed to respond quickly in the situation like this the national government should send some troops to backup as soon as possible.hope this will be a lesson .

May mga tao kasi dun na ayaw iwanan ang bahay nila..3days before the storm comes..the local government helped them out to leave the house...ano ba naman..esep esep...kaazar talaga itong mga taong ito.. Grrrrrr
