It's probably the most useful asking questions here. That way, somebody else might benefit, too

Another untested program. Because if the author had tested the program on a newer phone, he would have found out that it has a localization error of up to 1 mile. Why ? Because it does not use GPS, as the author believes, but uses location based on GPRS and WiFi.

Each of the examples clearly work, as recorded and shown. The whole idea of this series is to provide basic steps for somebody to take over and take it further. Your realization that it does not work for your phone is exactly that opportunity.

@@appinventor2tutorial I invite you to install the program on a phone with at least Android 11 and walk around the city, you will have an error of over 100 m. If you go to the countryside, you will have error of more than 1 mile. It can be easily solved if you force the phone to use the GPS system and not the network. As you made the program, the phone will use the network (GPRS or WiFi). GPS generally does not work in buildings, but the network offers good accuracy. But who uses a location application when they are in a building? Google knows this and uses the most precise system in Maps depending on the context.

I see now - It seems that your only issue with the code is that you believe it uses networks instead of a GPS. Now, LocationSensor component should use GPS by default, as implemented here. If this is somehow not the case in the latest OS, it would be literally one extra command to force the GPS use in the LocationSensor. Sure, that extra command should be added - Thanks for pointing this out.
