- Destiny 2 Season of the Witch - Solo Atheon in Destiny 2 on Warlock - Warlock Solo Atheon D2 / Solo Vault of Glass Atheon Encounter in VoG Destiny 2. Just a quick video showing a solo clear of the final boss encounter in VoG, Atheon, on a Warlock. Details below.

It was initially fun to learn and a cool concept for the strategies involved. Unfortunately after that, it's quickly ruined by it being nothing but an RNG check. I wish there was a way to remove the RNG factor from this, but with how the encounter is built, that's entirely unlikely. I'm pretty sure I broke a record while doing this too, hitting 11 Venus ports in a row (yes, eleven). Then 1 Mars, followed by another 3 Venus right after that.
Outside of the nightmare RNG, it's decent. It took me around 8 hours or so, mostly just waiting to get blessed by RNG or not get Lost in Time. The first few hours were purely focused on learning the teleport timing and getting consistent with that. I also ran into some issues with the portal not opening despite finishing from the plate and clearing the Gatekeeper inside, I wasn't sure what was up with that. But the rest of the encounter is fairly consistent.
I'll have the full solo raid compilation up over the weekend. I know solo flawless is doable, but there's no chance I'm wasting my time on that. If there was a way to consistently 1 phase the final boss so the RNG is reduced by half, it'd probably be more appealing. But the fact it's mostly a hour long run with a 25% chance at success, there's nothing to gain from not showing the entire journey, and my amazing luck when it comes to RNG on things like this... I'll give that a miss.
Outside of the compilation, I'm not sure what's next. This, Gatekeepers and Ir Yut was what I wanted to do before having a break before the new season, but I was expecting them to take a little longer. There's always Root of Nightmares to redo, but I can't stand anything in that raid. There's a few other raid challenges I haven't done in a few seasons either, so maybe I'll redo those. Either way, I will have a week or two more videos before having a little break.

@@ryanclune3883when eso finished the harpy and got teleported at the same time, the game creates a “clone” of eso that stays on the plate and is able to create the portal back to atheon.

How you get your grenade instant back in the boss fight. I have your loadout and the perk times 5 but it need 8 seconds to refull
When u teleport into mars if no one’s alive on the outside aren’t u supposed to wipe how did u prevent that
Did they change up the mechanics from d1 cuz without self res it used to be instant death once someone got teleported and there wasn’t anyone on the outside to open the portal. I remember always having to wait for that portal to open while i was keeping the other 2 dude dankness free

How are you getting around Oracles? They aren't always the same pattern.
He's breaking them all on roughly the same time so the game thinks they were shot in correct order.

You get a massive grenade regen buff from Times Vengeance. In addition he had Death Throes x5, which is 100% on top of that (+ a bunch of damage).

@@aminimumof3charactersmost of this makes less sense than what I just watched. What is permas? Why does finishing a harpy make a clone, and what is that for anyway? How can oracles be shot in any random order? Erianas to 1 shot what?
@@humpty1873 perma is placing a flag right as an encounter starts to keep it there the entire encounter the clone is from a desync oracles are shot at the exact same time so it doesnt matter which order erianas with 3 vog armor pieces with 3 precise oracle disruptors will make you 1 shot oracles with the damage increase
