Yes. As a new driver years ago I was learning in the winter, all up north stuff from Iowa to Pennsylvania and Maryland. The last straw was my trailer going into the other lane twice on I 80 in Iowa during freezing rain. The weather absolutely broke me mentally and physically. I returned their truck the following day and took a bus home.
Overall winter driving isn't too bad, the storms can get nasty but you generally are out of the storm and in decent weather within about 100 miles. That being said i've shut it down early and called it a day due to weather on more then one occasion.
Shame of it all, is. For lack of a brass compression fitting. You had to sit. Carry one of each air line diameter. Carry a small torch. Heat plastic air line, slide in fitting. One on each side. Drive on.
Time to carry some airline parts with you, and learn some mechanics. Just s thought, sorry for the worst day of trucking. Famous last words, nothing could screw up my day.😊

I wish. Company truck so I'm not allowed to work on it.
Pays to be prepared for anything, but no disrespect, as we can't be prepared for everything.
I agree. Unfortunately company drivers are only allowed to do so much.
@@HanginWithMrKoopla understandable. My company wouldn't let me assist the tire changing guy. I was only gonna help move the tires like he needed lol.
