Mage solo hydrospawn (easy max level water quest)

Hey everyone! This time im soloing Hydrospawn on my mage to finish my arcane refreshments water quest. Hydrospawns behavior can be a little unpredictable when you solo him like this, sometimes he can pull the imp pack besides him too. No particular gear or talents are required to solo hydrospawn as a mage, so you can do this on a fresh 60.

Just did this solo after 3 attempts and half red gear, switch to mage armor, don't go too far to the right when you're up on the ledge and make sure you keep him on the ledge patting back and forth. once he hits the water, he's a little too far, I used 0 fireballs, and only Fire Blast, took longer, but was much more consistent.

doesnt work anymore. imps get added at about 10% hp left. no, i am not jumping too far to the right. no, the boss is positioned perfectly.

still works in era... don't mind the people who say it doesn't. If you pull the side mobs you're simply doing it wrong

it randomly pulls the right side mobs. i used same exact tactics each time but 70% of the times it pulls them only 30% of the times i was able to kill it

if only Hydrospawn would not hit through the pillar on the official server. I think in 2021 it's broken or something is not fixed. The same tactic was applied by me unsuccessfully. Good video, thanks!

This doesn't work on private servers FWIW. I say this in case people in private servers are looking for a way to do this since retail is dead now. He just runs out of the pool and smacks you.

i think im really unlucky or something the mobs to the right hand side are always to close and even be super careful i aggro them

Dude, I've been trying this and he's summoning two additional adds and in your video I don't see those. around 45% hp.
