Yes, diamonds are way more common. In my world, I found more diamonds than iron. I had trouble finding iron which I needed bad. Cause iron is without a doubt, a great resource.

I think trying to reduce the trash in the oceans does make sense but its a lot easier and more cost effective to clean up ocean bound trash and it’s not as degraded so you can better reuse it
