Dave, thank you so much for bringing JM to the spotlight!!
JM, you have been an inspiration for me for years. At first, I admired you as an athlete...but then, you were my gateway to mindfulness and spirituality. First, it started as focus for competition...focus and mindfulness over getting amped and putting on the theatrics. Then, it spilled over into the rest of my life. This mental strength has allowed me to overcome terrible events in my life, events that I truly believe would have killed me otherwise.
Thank you so much for making yourself available for both podcasts, and now even training and bio videos!

Yes and no. He was a "black sheep" because he trained in other gyms and Louie accepted him in there just because his bench was so strong. This pissed off the other members. You were either with Westside or you weren't. On another note, Louie actually liked JM and is the guy who first started calling JM's press "The JM Press".

The guy that ALOT of the guys hate because, he doesnt go out or drink, or smoke, or party. The guy that every talks shit about. But can walk up to a bench and won't get up until hes finished after hes put on 5 or more plates. Jm. I guess I'm the black version of JM. I remember someone randomly talking shit to me and my mom, my mom; we were doing standing overhead press. He had some random woman with him. He stopped at 275 on bench. My mom did 130 lb standing overhead press. I did 305 on standing overhead press. My mom was nodding at me to check out the woman watching doing my set. The guy, he got pissed off started screaming at the woman that was with him to go somewhere else. We spent most of the workout in the squat rack. Did some accessories with dragging the girl around to watch us workout. The woman came over and apologized for her asshole friend. Gave props to my mom and said shes impressed with both of us. She also said her boyfriend was jealous, of both of us.
