Kpenosen Samson Oh bless you! I've just been binge watching... I was one of the two little girls who danced with the Ale Oma Kwara Group back in the late 80s and early 90s. I wonder where they all are. There was "Shine-Shine" - I think she earned the name because her skin was very dark and shiny (she was very tall too). I can't for the life of me, remember the leader's name but they were all very young men and women (at the time). I was raised on Ajuyah Street and the group practiced right opposite my childhood home. These have brought back lots of beautiful childhood memories. They also had the James Street Group at Christmas and I'd go watch them too and their Christmas performance in 1996 was the last live (of such performances) I saw and then there was the 1997 crisis that completely destroyed all our lives 😢 The Ale Oma Kwara Group performed around Easter... Boy! I miss Warri and my childhood. I haven't been to Warri since 2000 - 20 whole years ago! :( I've been told I'd not recognise Warri.
