Very proud to own Albion 'Legacy', I've owned it for several years. I bought it just before it was retired and still use it a lot!

The first 2 original Albions always inspire me to make music. I have "lost" more time than I should playing with them. I have to pull myself to get back to what I'm doing, else I can be playing with the articulations all day!
Love, love, love this!!! I am no composer, more of a noodler, but using these original 3 taught me so much about composition and allowed me to experiment and develop my style

Any plans to update all the Albion libraries into the spitfire plugin?
I would love to jump into the Albion library, but I wish you'd allow us to purchase any of the libraries for the sale price. As of now, I can't see plunging for the entire bundle without a test drive. (Hint: last year your competitor did such I thing... and after purchasing one library, I bought the entire... 'ARK').
Keep on creating with libraries that you already have. The ARK series sounds amazing! It has a lot of things that the Albion series doesn't.
@@LucasBurnMusic Yes. Very happy with the Ark series. Check out David Kudell’s “The Bat”. He created an incredible piece with the recent Ark, which happens to be their smallest Ark library. It’s basically tutti orchestra. That said - yeah, you’re right. There’s plenty of stuff to work with. But it’s always nice to have additional libraries and I would like to buy at least one of the Albion.
Many people have called Ark 3 the “bully” of the orchestra. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it has some very unique articulations that are found in Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring.
One of the things I absolutely love about the SINE player that Spitfire doesn’t offer, is the ability to stack patches from any of the libraries you own. I’ve got some really unique combinations in my arsenal. It’s so much fun to play with. Thanks for the input ✌️

Thank you so much Spitfire and Paul 🎉 I was thinking they were gone forever! Being something of a completist and huge fan of the Albion concept, I was despairing that I would never have Loegria or Albion Legacy. I was not even aware of the existence of Spitfire by the time they were retired so was so gutted(always wanting what I can’t have). I’ll have to save up so please don’t take them away again anytime soon 😅 eek but thanks so much again! Ps: Loving those fruity sackbutts and recorders. I love the sound of these old ones, so much character and warmth, perfection in the imperfections. Don’t let taste be the arbiter of your output, as defying convention has always been a great attribute of the great. Also, as others have asked, will you add these 3 to the Albion Collection/Bundle or put them in their own legacy bundle?
In my Albion I folders there is a Legacy set of instruments. What's the story with that? It seems like if I have Albion I then I already basically have the Albion Legacy?

I hate Kontakt. I've only bought a few libraries and hold my breath wondering: 1) Will it install properly without drama? 2) Are they ever going to fix the ugly design, especially that horrible Windows 98 font!? 3) How long until the player is obsolete with my OS?
However, as good as the Spitfire player is, it doesn't allow for stacks! Stacks are such a time saver and creative playground. I've since fallen in love with Orchestral Tools player where everything is in one place. (Store, manager, libraries, audio tools all seamlessly working). Not only can you stack, you can cherry pick from any library you have and blend them with the mod wheel as transitions. I do love my Spitfire libraries as some are really unique but they really need to level up the player and the manager.
How do we know when you're clicking on stuff without that convenient pop sound?

Really great walkthrough, but again, your mic is 2 times louder than most of the samples, or the samples are too quiet. I would appreciate more mixing on the videos.

I think if you own Albion ONE you also own Legacy by default.

And yet more proof that it should be Spitfire Marketing, not Spitfire Audio. Also: High Strings Legato Abbey Road One, anyone? Or will it be Abbey Road Orchestra pots and pans with 47 mic positions for 400€ next? I guess there must some pleasure in becoming one's own parody.
It’s your own opinion, for professionals the mic options make the difference between an actually useful library and a toy to play around with. It’s impossible to achieve spatial depth in a mix with most libraries from other companies. That’s what give Spitfire Audio the edge compared to other providers. Also, addressing your reference to the new Abbey Road percussion libraries, percussion libraries are the ones that you can actually hear in real film and game scores. They rarely are recorded live as it is possible to achieve realistic results with libraries (something that would be impossible with a high strings library) so these are clearly aimed for high end users that are actually going to use them in real scores.
Professional here, completely agreeing with OP. Not because of the mic positions per se.
If I have Albion One, does this offer any useful differences?
Kind of, there things in here that aren’t in the Albion legacy section, and includes legatos of these recordings. Honestly the brass and woodwinds from the legacy Albion is far superior.

The Albion bundle is a bit misleading as described at the moment. The current description for the bundle uses the word "all".. (I know it also says 6 but, the word "all" would lead ones mind to think "complete" and, here lies the problem.) I would love to hear that these are included in the bundle that offers "all" of the Albions but, I don't think that will be the case. I would also love it if you would honor your offer of "all" the Albions at that price due to this but, I doubt that will be the case either. Anyway. I always recommend Spitfire first to anyone and everyone based on quality and attention to detail so, I was just a bit surprised at the confusing/misleading sales phrasings.
Last year Orchestral Tools, "Ark Series" was 50% off which is Albion's competition. However, if you wanted you could buy any library for the 1/2 off sale price. I started with one, and within two weeks I couldn't help myself and now happily own the entire Ark. I really wish Spitfire would do a similar price scheme. If I could ease my way in, I just might be tempted to keep buying the whole lot. But I just can't justify the big plunge until I at least check out one library. 🤷♂
Aren't the Albion Colossus a flagship Albion library now?
The whole Albion line are considered a flagship product range I believe.
