In 1988 when this album came out I was 18 and had never heard Vangelis outside his cinema works. I was a metal head and this particular piece of music opened up to me a whole new world of music and continues to inspire me today. What a treasure.
This song so reminds me of my daughter at 3. This beautiful music is my calming as well as inspirational music. When problems or stress trouble my soul, I listen to VanGelis & it soothes the rough areas, & takes me to a more peaceful attitude so I can face the world again tomorrow. Thank you for sharing your unbelievable talent with the world.

Absolute masterpiece from Vangelis. I love his most majestic pieces. This piece was initially at the end of the LP version.... I was so used to it, I played it again and again when I arrived at the end of the LP (the initial LP version had a beautiful booklet inside. Very rare to see this in a LP). When I bought the CD I was glad to have the two extra tracks that weren't featured on the LP but Message was not the final track anymore !! Nevermind... Still so beautiful.

I've often reached the end of the LP Direct and played this again, sometimes 2, 3 4 times... I rarely do this. The LP had this track as the last piece, unlike the CD. It is certainly one of my top favourite pieces ever by Vangelis but there are so many great pieces by him... I can't have only one favourite piece. I love to bits "Midnight" from Heaven and Hell with Vana Veroutis tear-jerking vocals, "So Long ago so Clear" with Jon Anderson (and some other Jon & Vangelis pieces, by the way), the main theme from Chariots of Fire, L'Enfant from "l'Opera Sauvage", "To The Unknown Man" from Spiral, the opening theme from "1492"... and the whole first side of "Ignacio/Entends Tu Les chiens Aboyer?"
I also like it a lot, very consistent and melodic album, that I've bought at the time of release. The fact that message was the ending track on the LP and my top favourite track on the album, made it end on such a high note... I've bought the Cd later on but not the remaster. i wonder if this is worth it... I cannot judge from this MP3 upload, on my computer's speakers
