Just ordered me one from JS direct ,. look super fun for the outer reefs ,. long paddles in deeper water . Few long reefs around these parts :) cant wait ! JS board #7 this year . Quiver looking sick !
love it, just got the 6'4" after having the same size Big Baron - this is way better board with touch more rocker - both are amazing ahspes - well done JS - nailed it!😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Be great if the blanks and glassing held up more. Deck sinking quite a bit after few surfs andvthats the 6 6 4 glass. Maybe your blanks are a bit soft. Board goes great though. Just gets better n better as size increases but still grovels fine. Handles some straddie suckiness too
You can ride the el baron and big barons at various sizes depending how you want to surf. More performance style with the shorter lengths and cruisier with the longer lengths. Because of this we don’t have a generic rule on the recommended sizing between the two, but same size as your big baron would be a good start!
@@jsindustriessurfboards Thanks! Another comparison question: El baron is supposed to have a similar outline except for a slightly more pulled in nose than the Big Baron. Both 7'0 version of the boards, while having the same dims (7'0" 21" 2 3/4"), have different volumes --> the El Baron is more voluminous (45L) than the Big Baron (43L). Why is that (especially considering its slightly more stretched out outline) and what purpose does it serve?
@@Petepato3 Fair question mate - so it's the difference in deck roll. El Baron is slightly fuller compared to the Big baron that changes the litres. This extra volume distribution maintains good paddle power with the increased rocker.

Any recs on sizing? My daily is a 5'4 32L fish-hybrid, I'm 170cm & 72.5kg. Been looking at these for awhile but can't decide on dims. Cheers!

Yea don't buy this pos construction mine has fallen apart after 2 surfs.. 1200$ wasted.. JS no reply back. Ripped off.
