... the most correct explanation of the hand technique.... I have seen all the wrong dhir dhir techniques by various persons on youtube, most people don"t get proper guru and they have no guidance that how to set the hands with proper weight on tabla because their guru won"t show them the correct path..
they all show wrong procedures...but Dhriti dada your procedure is the most correct one.. and everybody present here should knew this because Dhriti Govinda's guru is perfect in all sense and has provided him the right knowledge. Every people should follow this style of practice..
it is my earnest request to all viewers of this video.. please try to follow the rule showed by Dhriti dada..he is showing us the most perfect way to riyaz this bol... nobody will tell this technique to play dhir dhir in this manner..
everybody should follow him to bring success in this field.. very good bro..I am very much impressed.....

I think srikant ji showed Dhir dhir better, not to mention this guy's thumb falls on the syahi instead of the maidaan, so the sound is quite incorrect. No disrespect, just pointing it out.

I may be wrong, but it seems you are playing ka (k) on the right side instead of left. It seems you are ending Ta Ka on the right side. Is this correct? Namaskaar.

Hello! Though I don't get your question properly but I would like to reply:
The KA of ending combination TA KA unconsciously uses my left hand open index instead of the usual closed slap of the palm! At least I can see that in this video 🙃
The reason being as we follow a particular start point which ought to be stressed I put accented stroke on the Sam which is DHE of the DHERE DHERE varn. So the ending syllable uses mellow strokes for the fingers to auto adjust regaining the strength that is required to exert on the first Matra- Sam! Hence, a gentle nudge of the index.
Another proposition is that it is easier to transition from open Index to open Middle while playing a syllable combination than from a dry slap (KA) to the open middle!
However, there are exceptions when one needs to highlight the "TE RE KE te" we use full hands; DHERE DHERE being the prime concentration here should sound a tad higher than the rest 🙏🏻
