I'm on a wait list for either an Ultimate Hybrid or PHEV in red to replace my wife's Equinox. It'll look great next to my '22 Santa Cruz. Almost 88,000km on the Cruz now and absolutely love it. Figure if we can get a Tucson that's just as good we'll start having lively debates over which vehicle to take to work. Right now, the Equinox feels like driving punishment. :D I'm not a big fan of the capacitive HVAC though. I just want physical buttons and big knobs to push and turn when I have gloves on in the winter. Nothing like having to pull your hands out of the gloves when it's -30 outside just to tap a really really cold plastic panel.
I own the 2024 HYUNDAI Tucson Hybrid and I haven’t been happy with it as there is low grinding noise coming from the transmission when you go from 1st to 2nd gear. I took the car to the dealership with only 3000 miles and they heard the noise and completely checked out the car finding nothing! I drove an identical car from the dealership and there wasn’t the same noise. In the end it will be very difficult to sell the car on my own because the first thing a potential buyer does when test driving a car is to turn off the radio/AC and to listen to the engine while driving the car!

I actually own a F-150 and my wife an Elantra 2024. Both in location ending in automn 2025. I know that we have to put our names on a list to get a Tucson PHEV or HEV. There is a waiting time of almost 11/2 to 2 years to get those cars. Can't buy from you because we're in Quebec. I'm wondering which one is the most reliable in term of electric motorization. We drive about 65% city and 35% highway. Which one you recomend?
Hi Krishna thanks for sharing your experience. When I feel up full tank shows I have 500km which I find weird also my work 1 way is 26km and on the odometer shows I used 38km of fuel with no traffic. When I am driving HEV shows up on the left but I never see EV on the right. When I drive on electric mode once I used up charge I can’t use the mode button to change is this normal
I have been driving Tucson PHEV Ultimate since May'23. To be fair, it actually helps you save a lot on gas compared to my friends with a RAV4 Hybrid a Camry Hybrid, and a 2023 Santa Fe Hybrid. We usually meet once a month and this conversation comes up since my car is the newest among our bunch. I always drive full EV locally, near my house ( I live in the heart of Mississauga, ON), it's always crazy busy on the roads. Whenever I take to highways, I switch the mode to HEV ( Hybrid ) so I don't lose on performance on zooming at 100-120kmph, and also, regenerative braking helps. Since May'23 and till now ( winter // snow ), my average has been 6.5 L / 100km.
I have Tucson Phev Luxury. I drive in EV mode all the time and try to use only heated seat and steering wheel only unless below zero, but I don't drive more than 60km per day. My fuel efficiency is 0.6L per 100km in summer and fall. Will see what happens in this winter. My guess is 1L per 100km in winter.

I can say I love all the features in the vehicle and love the handling. Hybrid offers a great fuel economy and Android auto works great (far better than my Dad's Lexus GX 460). My MSRP was 38,000 USD and for what its worth, it packs a great punch. However, only con so far, is the manual side-mirror fold. For 2024 vehicle, it is hard to believe that Tucson does not include automatic side mirror fold. I am okay with it, but it is a disappointment.
Just pull the open button softly. It will move the shade without the glass roof opening or rising. You can move it back and forth that way. If you feel a "double click," then you'll know that the roof is about to open. Remember, a soft pressure on the button gets the job done! 🫡
I have a question about these hybrid cars that no one seems to really show. And I personally think that it is a concern. I own a 2023 Tucson Hybrid and I've known that they keep the standard battery underneath the back seats. What I'd like to know is, how do you replace the standard battery if I need to? The manual does not really show how to do that very well. And I am hoping you guys could do this. I imagine the design the same with the 2024, but it's not like I have watched the whole video. Also it'd help to show how to do a emergency start up if we have a dead battery. That'd be fantastic too. But really, I just want to know how to get to the standard battery and check it/replace it on my own if I had to. Thank you for all your in-depth videos!
Just to confirm - you are asking about the 12Volt battery, not the hybrid? YOu would like to know how to "boost" the vehicle / change the battery? Please confirm.

All that you have to do is learn about the generations of Toyota Hybrid systems and work on them as a pro tech from the beginning as I have and you will understand what I know. Hyundai/Kia hybrids are wimpy at best. @@DonNeusitzer
@ericdirauso2465 Excellent question. I wish that they will reply. My personal experience for the past 4 days, is contrary to the initial poster's opinion. I have found the 1.6t engine to be quite responsive and have had to check my speed numerous times. It is a fun vehicle to drive in my opinion.

Maintenance on 6000 km or 6 months? Why? We in Romania have the same power train and they say maintenance on 15 000 km.

Does the Tucson Ultimate have power folding mirrors when you turn the key off?
Confirmed. The Canadian model does not have power folding side mirrors.

Do you know if the federal tax credit applies to all trim levels for the plugin hybrid 2024, or just the ultimate level?

I have this vehicle. How to you retract the shade on the sun roof without the roof popping open slightly.

A few things. Rear seat side air bags, rear seat seat belt indicator, lane keep assist the steering wheel now vibrates if you go out of lane.
