Philips 36 watt PL-L fluorescent stick bulb

This PL-L fluorescent stick lamp is fitted with a 36/40 watt magnetic ballast which means it can be fitted with a PL-L at 36 or 40 watts.

I really like 4 pin non-integrated CFL lamps like these 36W PL-L lamps because I get to use external starters with them. Sadly, here in North America, we rarely use external starters with 4 pin CFL lamps since they are usually used either with electronic ballasts or magnetic rapid start ballasts, but using an external starter with them is still doable. I have a couple of videos where I have been operating some PL-L CFL lamps and other 4 pin non-integrated CFL lamps on preheat ballasts using external starters before.
