Really enjoying your videos. There have been several young families move from California to Eastern Tennessee in the past couple of years. You may have met or follow some of them. Most are doing well. You ate making progress Carter than all. Keep it up.

You may be able to use some of the wood for shelves or a bookcase for Leah.

Lots of uses for sure. We’ll see what we end up doing with it.

I would think long and hard before I tore down the rest of the old barn. If it is relatively sturdy, you could convert it into a barn for any other livestock you might decide to have. I raised goats and most animals need a covering. What are your plans on any cows for beef or milk?

It’s way past gone for saving. The roof on the other side is completely rotted, the center posts are leaning and the outside posts are hardly attached to the roof. The trees are holding it up a lot and the center posts are sturdy making the rest seem good. It’s sturdy enough that I don’t feel like it will fall over at any second, but too far gone to try and save.
We do plan on a couple steers next year and dairy down the road when the house gets built.

You could dig a hole and burn it. That way you bury the nails and scraps, let the rust away underground.

Not that I know of. I think its just grasshoppers you are hearing. They get pretty loud here in the late summer.
