  • Chair Dance Side Split. Adding on to previous chair dance basics with this chair trick you can add in to your repertoire. This chair trick is for ALL flexibility levels. Make the shape that best suits you and have fun with this one! Chair dance is fantastic because you can practice or perform just about anywhere! It's perfect for everyone, regardless of your skill level. So grab a chair and lets start working on the basics to get your sexy on!
    Need a chair to work with? I recommend a simple metal folding chair like the one used in the video. Yes you can use many other variations but I prefer the simple metal one without the padded seat. The smooth metal of the seat will make some of the future tricks I'll be going thru move more smoothly plus the weight of this folding chair work great for the moves I'll be adding to these intro chair moves. You can usually find these chairs at places like Target or Walmart or my personal favorite is on Amazon. And just because I like helping you make your life easier, here is a link where you can purchase one: amzn.to/36PjIWa

      Thank you! Miss having you in my classes! We still talk about in my flex classes your analogy of where to position your pelvis..."like a magician pulling flags out of their vajajay"

    Omg, you are really fantastic. This is the first time I have ever been interested in chair dance. I love the explanation.

      That makes me so happy to hear! Chair dance is so much fun! Plus it can be integrated with pole or aerial apparatus as well.

      Alexis, I feel you, I am a very slow learner and require a lot of repetition to figure things out and coordinate with mu body. If you'd like more breakdown of the chair moves check out my online chair workshop available on my website here: elizabethbfit.com/onlinetraining/

    I have no idea how that's supposed to work xD My chair seems to low down and I don't know where on the hip I am supposed to place the chair. Above or below the hip bone? It's gonna hurt nontheless, but still...
    XD

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Below the hip bone in the crease. When you lift your leg up just when standing, the little crease that this lift creates is where you would place the chair.

    Random question: how tall are you?
    Not that it matters of course, but it’s nice to just know. As a child I wasn’t allowed to do ballet etc because I was too tall, so it’s just really nice to see that belief is no longer valid 😊

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm 5'8" so taller than average but not as tall as some. And yes, I got the same critique when I did ballet as a kid.

    Ow, I think I‘m too bony for this. 😬

    • @Elizabeth_BFit
      @Elizabeth_BFit  ปีที่แล้ว

      You are not alone with that! This one can definitely leave some bruises on the hips. Part of the reason why I prefer to do chair with long pants and long sleeve shirts when possible. You can also get a padded chair to ease the discomfort but the padding also tends to limit your ability to slide.
