I did an at-home sleep test and couldn't fall asleep for a second all night because of the monitoring unit strapped to me with all the constrictive wires. The hospital still charged me $700.00 out of pocket because I turned the machine on before bedtime and 'technically used it,' even though it read completely negative because I couldn't sleep. That was the biggest waste of money I've ever spent in my entire lifetime. I never got a proper test done because it's way too expensive.
you normally do not need to return the at home device. It connects to your mobile phone and sends the information to the clinic. You throw the device out after using it.
I did the at-home test and it wasn't too bad once I got used to the idea that sleeping a bit uncomfy was necessary to get readings. They need at least 4 hours of sleep, which makes it tricky if you aren't getting that. Most importantly, make sure you block out time the next morning to return the equipment. They didn't mention that when setting the appt to pick it up and I had to miss 2 meetings the next day returning the gear.
I have VA healthcare and was sent the watchpat1 and the sensor on the finger and the chest kept falling off and I’d wake up to put it back on so they sent me for a in lab and that was last night and I don’t feel like I got much sleep. The bed was uncomfortable, the room was hot and all the wires just made it the falling asleep chances pretty slim. Hopefully they got enough data from it.

Dude that sucks. On lofta it's only 150 dollars if you have a discount and they give you a prescription and a free retest. Maybe you can try that
@@realhuman4396 Thank you for the advice

Can a person let someone else take the home testing study for them while they are at home..
Like maybe your wife or your kids?
Just asking
@@YES-IM-TROLLING absolutely.
Will cause any problems to sleep facing down while doing a sleep test?
They don’t want you sleeping on your stomach because of possibly twisting up or disconnecting the wires. They want you to sleep on your side or back.
I’m confused, you are allowed to use this device several nights? Because another video on this says only one night of testing is allowed.
Yeah the device she has displayed only allows one test.
Insurance companies stopped paying for in-lab sleep studies. Hence, the rise of at-home tests.

MSLT works using this?
Just get a Fitbit.
Doesn't show accurate enough data
