    People's Princess must be one of the highest titles one can have!

    Diana was born in 1961 . The Prince of Wales Investiture took place in 1969, on the day of Diana's eighth birthday, July the 1st. She wasn't 12 in 1969 as stated at 0.48seconds. And she was nearly 13 years, not 10 years, younger than Charles. Come on British Pathe.

    The first person to be known as "the people's princess" was Grace Kelly the princess of Monaco.

      She wasn't dragged into it. She was young and inexperienced - but shrewd in the ways of the noble classes.
      She knew damn well there was, 'A Situation', with Charles and Camilla - but she rolled her dice on a gamble and a promise, that Charles would really start over - with her as his sole focus. Unfortunately, Charles felt pressured into that - and into giving up who he actually loved, for a much younger woman that he didn't really have anything in common with, and who had significant emotional issues that she'd hidden, when he had significant issues of his own. Regardless, it was his responsibility to change his priorities and he should have done his duty - but he just could not. He couldn't keep up his end of that bargain for much more than 5 minutes - then, Diana felt conned and cheated.
      So: their marriage was over, very nearly as soon as it began - which then left nothing but for them to become increasingly bitter adversaries: each becoming more and more jealous and resentful of the other, for different reasons - and both feeling utterly trapped....
      The entire thing was a complete and absolute, rotten, disaster - from the dawn of the second day: and they had to just sit in that stink, and smile for the cameras, and pretend - while creating havoc in the institution they represented... It must have been pure hell, all round: I wouldn't wish that toxic and damaging mess on, anyone.
      You can keep all the pomp and privilege, all the horses, all the 24 palaces, and all the gold and diamonds and a partridge in a pear tree. Keep it: and you can just leave me with my peace of mind in one whole piece - not shattered into a million splinters, thank you so awfully much.

    • @lewis7515
      @lewis7515 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @abdu_jilani ?....I thought the entire world knew that Charles had been carrying on with Camilla since they were both in their 20's...
      He couldn't marry her - she was not a suitable candidate for several reasons: plus, by the time it came for Charles to get serious about his responsibilities, she was already married. I have the impression that, without some pressure being put on him, he'd easily have spent the rest of his life just simping after her, no matter what.

    Diana was VERY immature for her age and had no business getting married when she did. And certainly not to a man over 10 years her senior. A disaster waiting to happen. I blame the Queen for allowing it to happen.

    @seppbecker586. Diana just married Charles for a title and castles and balcony appearances and clothes and jewelry and vacations and notoriety and prestige and financial stability and handbags and respect and admiration and press coverage and should I go on? Diana wouldn't have looked at Charles twice if he was a butcher or a baker or a candle stick maker! Not everything can be blamed on Camilla and Charles infidelity or Diana's youth.... 😢. Awful woman.
