LOVE your reaction! This song is supposed to create conversation. It’s funny that white trash and hillbilly depictions are acceptable but as soon as the n word comes in so many people freak out. Adam soon separates the n word from black people.
Good people are good people regardless of skin color. Same goes with not so good people.
    Thank you for reacting!

My take on this song, hearing it for the first time here as well... the first part is this is Essentially everything said "Towards" white people by 'everyone else'. Yet 'were' the ones that are suppose to be the racist people. The only people 'capable' of being racist.
He's quite literally calling out all of the Racism going the 'other' direction, that no one ever talks about, and far to many claim 'never' happens.
Not that those things happen ALL the time, but they DO happen. First time i ever heard the "White cracker" slur was when i was living in South Sac (South side of Sacramento Cali), and it was from a group of black kids who were on the same school-buss as me.
He's not 'attacking' any specific person, he's attacking the endless Back and forth, where only 1 side ever gets called out for.
That's my personal take on this.

THEY WANTS US DIVIDED. LETS UNITE ❤❤

    • @judyb950
      @judyb950 ปีที่แล้ว

Exactly. They absolutely want us divided and unfortunately "We the People" are divided. The division is to destroy Christianity and to bring in the NWO. George Bush daddy addressed the nation about the NWO so they've been working on it for a long time now.
Going to make this short and say Public Law 102-14. Google that, then watch Dr Stephen Pidgeon's video explaining Public Law 102-14. This is why they want us divided so we don't fight back. There's a lot more to it but that's all I'm going to say.
Majority of the world have no clue what is about to flip their world upside down.

Adam was a battle rapper in South Chicago, going places to battle, where he most likely was the only white guy there rapping, if not only white guy there in general, so i'm 100% sure he had/has the black card out there... he has been out in the streets of South Chicago (there's a vid of it on his channel somewhere), talking to the G's out there, about their thoughts on all the BS going on, and asking them about the racist BS in the news... PS: that Cadillac with the 24s, is Adams... he uses it in another music vid, called "4 Wheel Low"

My friend, as a 52 year old white guy, we do know the difference between a N and a black person.
I have had, and still have black folks as friends, and even call them family. We aren’t given the choice to be white, black or any other race when we are born, but it is our choice to make the best of what we are given. Black or White, we all bleed the same. Keep up the good work.

The big debate used to be nurture or nature! Now its skin color or culture! He was raised in Chicago, it's culture! My mama taught me, to see skin color as anything other than beautiful is to despise part of God's creation!

When you said that you didn’t know that white people knew the difference, my heart broke a little. That makes me so sad. I wish you could have grown up next door to me or something. Sweet dude, I don’t think of ANY POC as anything other than human. I’m going to get to know you before I decide whether or not you are worth hanging out with. I’m going to judge you on the content of your character and nothing else. If you live on my block, I will feed you regularly(and I season things 😉). Honestly, I like this song but, it always makes me uncomfortable. I thought that I was selecting an Oliver Anthony reaction. I’m glad that I hit the wrong button. I look forward to more of your videos. Much love sweetheart. ❤😊

Realized i had to watch this when you said in the "Your America" reaction you only discovered Adam recently....
Upside.... You won't find anything more controversial or inflammatory than this... not from Tom or Adam anyway.
FIRST THING.... the Caddy in this video... That's Adam's LOL
He's Chicago raised, for real. Then moved out to the country.
    Funny story.
Tom hated Adam.... because of this song.
The first time they spoke on the phone they were screaming at each other for 15 minute sand hung up.... then Tom called Adam back.... and they made The Brave album.
    -
3 seconds in "woah woah woah... who said that?... did Adam say that?"
*Oh shit.... buckle up kid, this ride's about to get rough.
    ....
1 minute 34 in.... "Did bro just say...."
    Yes, yes he did.
And it got your attention, exactly as it was designed to do.
Interesting you didn't stop and ask if he said "Redneck", or "White trash"... isn't it?
A racial slur is a racial slur, that's Adam's message here.... that the words only have power if we let them.
    --
OK... this shit got funny at "oooh I'm black folk"
Black white, whatever bro... this song's about all of us.... one way or another.... that's the point.
As far as I'm concerned your just a person.... and you seem to be a good one. That's what counts.

If you've never run into hillbillies who hunt, fish, raise their own food & drink moonshine, come down to West Virginia sometime.
As far as giving a pass for speech to this person because of their skin color or this person because of where they grew up, that's just so much bullshit. Doesn't matter if he's from Chicago or a cabin on the creek.
We've devolved as a culture from being more accepting of differences, for good and bad, to everyone walking on eggshells, worried what might be said, what might be recorded or go viral. That's the beauty of the cell phone. Everyone has signed up to be the Gestapo and inform on their neighbors like a bunch of 4th grade tattletales. Bring back the days when you could make a movie like "Blazing Saddles" & rip on everyone equally.
If someone makes a sound with their mouth & I lose my mind, its a flaw in me, not them.

Umm, we know your skin tone, no need to put it in the title. Just saying, LMAO. Also, I'm a white boy, I lived in the project of the deep south for 12 years of my young life, ya down south the hood or projects have all kinds of folks living in them, and everyone used the N word everyone, it not your color it is the culture if you grow up around black Aemrica using the word you start using it at a young age and skin tone ever matterd.. You go into any prison down south and white brown folks and black folks use the word N*gga all the time like in every sentence, I don't know where you people live but where I am from, hearing a white boy from the project saying that word never once even raised an eyebrow it was just normal. I have kids now and live out in the country kindoff I had to work on my slang because it was so heavy but I still use the word to this day, but not as much as I used to, it comes out when get going or am talking to old street friends of mine. I did not try and fix my slang because I thought it was wrong, I just wanted to better myself and wanted to teach my kids a better way. My N*gga was just so commonly used where I was raised that how you speak sometimes is hard to control. My point is, seeing a video where people are surprised by hearing a white dude say that word just look off to me, everyone in the projects no matter their skin tone uses that word in almost every sentence they speak. Facts. Like I said go to any hood or projects well at least in the south where I am from and you will find black, white, and brown folks using that word all day long. Don't get me wrong, I have never heard the word used in a racist way, never, that is not how the word is used in the project.
