On March 12th 2017 Sunday at 10.30am "LAYA SAMARPANAM" to Sri Mahaperiyavaa and in annual remembrance occasion of Legendary Guru Shri T R Hariharasharma mama who is founder of Jai Ganesh Tala Vidhyalaya , father of Ghatam Legends Sri Vikku Vinayakram sir and Sri T H Subhash chandran sir at dear friend Ghatam Vidwan Chandrasekara Sharma's residence. Excellently organised and so happy to see all Senior musicians, wonderful friends, colleagues, well wishers and Elders, over there cheerfully. Thanks Chandru for inviting me to play and offer my tribute to Thatha this year..
Tried a tisram korvai and final korvai just to make an attempt on the go. Special mention to the fantastic Mohra of Mridanga Vidwan Trivandrum R Vaidyanathan who happily taught me at AIR longgg back when I went there for a recording and said it will be nice in my hands and told me to play this any occasion suitably. So why not today ???
Before this Vidwan Sri Muhursung Raman anna Played beautifully and after this fabulous konnakkol presentation of dear friend Vidwan Sri Konnakkol Somashekar Jois and Sri Swaminathan Selvaganesh played Kanjira with Vocal Percussion after Soma ji. And as a grand finale to the event a small and soulful concert of Sri Sruthisagar's flute with Violin Sri Parur M S Ananth Krrishnan , Sri Tanjore Praveen Sparsh on Mridangam and Sri KV Gopalakrishnan anna on Kanjira. Main was Natakapriya Kruti "Geetha Vadya Natana" of great composer Sri Thanjavur Sankara Iyer mama..
