Thank you 🙏 I try to keep it simple and actually have fun and of course chuck a bit comedy in there from time to time with the funny little film clips I sometimes add in . After all it’s a hobby and it should be fun and not taken too seriously 👍. I do sometimes show items I’ve been sent by companies but only if they are going to be relevant to the channel and as long as they ain’t trash .

Good chilled out video. Nice to see a Force 10 still being used. These days my more modern Galaxy 300 tends to get more use because of its lighter weight, extra space and the ability to stand upright in the front half of the tent. Even so, my MkIV Force 10 with the traditional orange cotton fly has that special charm and is absolutely rock solid when the wind blows. I love it to bits and will never get rid of it.

Those backpacking “bra’s” are GREAT on long hikes because you can keep snacks, camera’s, flashlights etc, anything you might need on the quick without dropping your backpack and digging it out. Very cool little bags.

Mind you Mark, if Aslan kept showing up on my camp, I would want to lay off the beers for a while as well 😂. That was brilliant, I had to double take on that. I’m sharing that with my daughter, she’ll appreciate that one! 😂😂

I had a bright orange force 10 sloping ridge. Camped at red tarn in winter, used it in summer. Never got wet in it. Best tent I ever owned.
I don’t think you can beat the older gear 👍

The F10 is so good it can still be bought new.......and I still occasionally use any of 3 Blacks of Greenock Good Companions...over 60 years old!!

I'm pretty sure the old force tens were made in Scotland, at least that's what my old mk1 feather weight/1 man 1.7kg says and I love that lil tent its still the lightest one I've owned shame the fly's starting to fray towards the seams but it's still got some life for those calmer nights

Those were the must have tents back in the day. Well, TBH, there wasn't a lot of choice, back then but they were bomb proof. Made in Govan, Glasgow. They just rearranged the word Govan into Vango for the company name. Great video, thanks.
They should still be a must have tent today but maybe they still are as they still make them apparently 👍

Bacon on buttered rolls was my welsh grannies fav breakfast. She’d toast the buns then dip them in the bacon grease before throwing butter on them and layering with bacon. They were pretty good.

It's good to see someone who knows he's priorities in hours and daylight to get things done , the Vango still looks a good 👍 quality tent the company are still based in Scotland but mainly manufactured in China 🇨🇳 and Karrimor are still a English based company which are now mainly manufactured in places like Burma. Kashmir. China its unfortunately cheaper to manufacturer halfway around the world 🌎 than it is to do it in the UK 🇬🇧 its all down to our pockets unfortunately.

Good vid, zip up keep the critters out. Hard to beat an old school A-frame. I have a heavy duty Eureka 4 person 2 door. Been with me 40 years now. still a great one. Easy up, easy down. Dry and vented. Next time. Get Andy a cross your heart model bra for Christmas. Happy Holidays
We can’t be sharing our sleeping bag with critters no no no that ain’t any good haha . A good A-frame is a solid construction and will handle most weather 👍

Done the west highland way over 30 years ago with my neighbours force ten tent it was around 7kg if memory serves me. His had the bright orange cotton canvas fly sheet. I remember the base was like a spray on rubber murder to fold. Absolutely bomb proof.
They still are a pain to fold haha but as you say they are bomb proof 👍
Like the vintage tent…and the layered fly. Reminds me of a green tent we had back in the early 70’s. Think it was a Columbia. We also had a canvas Thermos brand pop up tent back then!

I used to use a vango force 10 mk2 which was smaller and had a single pole at the back. They were issued by the army for adventurous training along with the three man version

Got my Force 10 in 1979... absolutely bomb proof....and it was put to 4 seasons test...I was camping before " wild camping " was a thing.... always petrified about losing the "A" piece tho'!!!

Love the look of the Nordic bacon, where can I find that mate? I must say though I’m a little suspicious of a bacon roll with no sauce?! I’m a brown sauce guy myself, no probs with the ketchup brigade or various “breakfast sauces”, I’ll even entertain a mustard but no sauce at all mate, maybe have a little word with yourself 😂

Doessn't the first label mean it's the Army 'adventurous training' version of the Force Ten CN ?, A thicker tub floor I think.
Have you tried an 'outer first' pitch, great when it's raining as it keeps the Egyption cotton inner dry, I used to pack the cotton inner in a bin liner inside the pack and the poles+ outer across the top of the pack ( my old Arctic Bergan).

It’s a great tent and I don’t think it would have any problems in a storm 👍 they used them on Everest base camp back when they first come out .
