  • Flushed with success against the Byzantine and Persian Empires, the Arabian forces now seek to push west into North Africa, across the Maghreb, and onwards to the Atlantic. Despite going through two civil wars, the Islamic Empire by 709 C.E. will stretch from the Atlantic to the Indus River.

Thank you for calling them "Romans." This is historically accurate. The Eastern Empire and its citizens called themselves "Roman." Even up until 1453 there was no longer an Eastern Empire outside of the Theodosian Walls when Constantinople fell to the House of Osman. "Byzantine" was not used until a few hundred years ago. It was Western European bias and prejudice because "Rome wouldn't fall to Muslims," but they did. Even today in Romania, they strongly consider themselves the remnants of the Eastern Empire and "Roman." Romanian is a Romance language. They claim to trace their origins back to Trajan's conquest of Dacia.

They are the hipster version of Zeppelin. Stole nearly everything that wasn't nailed down. But in a way, I'm not angry about it - Zeppelin had soul that you don't always find in music that just seems manufactured for the masses. GVF does a good job on emulating the style and produces some good music for the modern ear. @MACK D

My admirations to the video. It's a very comprehensive one. In fact, this is one the best videos on history topics I have ever seen. Coming from Bulgaria, I have always been interested in the history of Byzantine and Southeast Europe but I lacked a detailed knowledge about the history of the Arabs and the Middle East. I realize that the founders of the First Bulgarian Empire took advantage of the problems Constantinopole had with the Arabs and now I'm just "connecting the dots" and filling the gaps in my knowledge of the bigger picture in the 7th century... Thank you once again.

When the friend asked why you did that, khaliph said "I was working thus using candle from "bait-ul-mol" (that is publicly funded); when you came it's a personal matter not public so I used the candle of my own".

Love that Zeppelin right in the beginning.. of course it was a drive through a desolate desert area in southern Morocco that inspired Plant to create this song, Kashmir

Yeah that’s right - in 1973 or 76 can’t remember. In 97 I was traveling in Egypt from Luxor down to Abu Simbel in a transport convoy (you needed military escort to go that far south) and I must have listened to this song half a dozen times. It was especially good when the sun came up off the desert.

Metal Videos pretty sure America and ‘zionist masters’ didnt exist thousands of years ago when there are already perpetual warfare in this part of the world. No my friend, it is trivial and often political and hypocritical differences that cause problems between groups of people who, in truth, actually have much, much more in common than they do differences. A lesson we may never learn sadly.

You need to make a video about how the Rashiduns were unsuccessful in their attempts to conquer Nubia (northern Sudan) , the nubian king of Makuria managed to repulse the Arab armies sent against them, using guerrilla warfare, night raids and scorched earth tactics, the Arab governors of Egypt gave up and instead negotiated the baqt treaty.

      Very wrong..
Berbers are ethnic amazighs , they were not bantus. The Berbers are related to the semites of western Asia.
Bantus evolved in the southern regions of Western/southwestern africa. Thier physiology and languages are remarkably different from the berbers.

      @@geeljirejahil9570 Raji…. Read a book.
What I’ve revealed is in accordance with The American Slave Code Legal system. Our captors wrote this about us. We did not write it ourselves.
We the original Berbers were enslaved here in the Americas and much of our land is now controlled by our captors. That’s why many “Berbers” today look white.
      Originally all Berbers were Bantu.
To you aryan lovers…The jig is up. Our history was purposely hidden for 400 years. But now….We black ppl of The Americas know who we are now.
      We have awakened.
We know who we are and we are the asiatic black man. If you want to call us Semitic that is fine with us.

24:30 Acutely he wasn’t sitting on armed chair,
when the messenger of Hairclus came to Madina to meet the calipha Omar “by the way the people gave him a title ( prince of the believers ) ,
the companions of the prophet took the messenger to Omar they found him taking a nap under tree and the messenger said “ you ruled by justice, felt safe, and then slept “
he wasn’t seeking to glory or defeating others nations.
